Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Chelsea fans would piss themselves at that. Welcome to playing in Europe. Corrupt police forces are the norm. Not saying it's right, just that these smaller incidents happen a lot to English fans and go unreported. Look at United in Rome too, they were treated like shit but none were surprised as they've been there and done that.

It's a bit different though when you go looking for it. United were kicking off everywhere in Rome as they usually do.

Not trying to defend the rags here but they've been in europe a lot longer than we have, a few years of our fans getting attacked for no reason and I'm sure our fans will be kicking off everywhere too.

But next time when you will want to take a picture with your cellphone and they will beat you up (and your friends that happen to be walking with you TOO), do not forget your previous craven attitude. Maybe as a result, grateful that they let you live you will support the police with more fervor, making a donation for the 'heroes', the brotherhood of the PIGS.

Matter of fact, you model citizen should support the police, beat yourself up to save them the hassle.

I am a pig and a pleb. I work with some of the hardest working, bravest people I have ever known. Yes, we don't always get it right but seriously I hope you have been banned and never need our help. From all accounts they had absolutely no need to do what they did , and it would appear that they 'steamed' into a few high spirited City fans just 'because they could' ... they will get away with it of course , they always do , but the Spanish equivalent of the home office should have something to say about this , and the many other incidents , that these thugs ,who masquerade as policemen , have been involved in.

I don't care if people accuse me of generalising, but thats how cops in the Mediterranean countries are. I've experienced it plenty of times. Similar to the scenes in that video. Indiscriminate charges at crowds containing women and kids. Then you get the odd un-provoked baton charge as you exit the ground.

It all goes back to an image of English fans that was formed in the 70s and 80s.

I prefer going to places like Germany now.
