City fans weak mentality

Very good post. Being positive about the team does not necessarily mean you see nothing wrong with it.

Totally agree with this, its not what you say its how you say it.

Unfortunately for some people, it's one extreme or the other.

It's not your business to tell other people how they should express their opinions on Bluemoon. If I think a player is shit, I'll say it. Same with a manager. This forum would be an incredibly dull and unpopular place if it was full of polite speaking cheerleaders.

A brilliant post BM, every fan and I mean every fan should read this. It may just make people think a little about what the meaning of a "supporter" really is. I admit i have a little moan on here now and again but nothing positive comes out of shouting abuse or booing the players on match days.

A very good post. I recall reading in Bluemoon Rising Willie Donachie's fear that 'Manchester City fans are becoming in danger of being trapped in a permanently pessimistic state of mind' or something along those lines, I think after the Darlington away game in 1998 or 1999.

I remember reading something as well by someone in a fanzine a few years back who was moaning saying he hated the sort of attitude where we had been shit a few years back being an excuse for failing in the present (still when we had no money but had spent a lot under Keegan).

It's a shame that, when you look at where we were then and where we are now people lose perspective - or never settle for less depending on how you look at it. I think the former.
