city fanzines....

just a small point of order from what noel said. when the word "troublecauser" came up between me and one of the chips and gravy lads, it was at the time when the fightback was winding down and chips and gravy was coming into its' own. the fightback was very much about political issues at the club whereas what chips and gravy wanted to do was something totally different to that, more light-hearted, less critical of the club if you like, they didn't want to cause trouble for the club.... that's got nothing to do with trouble at matches....

anyway, if we are talking generally what i would like to hear about are the issues KK and EB/BTH both campaigned on ? On what issues were you on the same side. I'm thinking Swales out / ID cards but any others... and was there much competition in terms of getting the facts of the AGM correct ?

I am delighted that both Dave Wallace and Steve Worthington have in recent years had books published - they write differently but they are both excellent writers. Similarly, I'd love to see Noel write a book (perhaps best to avoid fanzine wars though).

We should finish the fanzine war first Gary, I can see a book war coming. Steve has already written his. Noel can write about being a bully, and what about that novel on Strongbow from Bibby.

TBH, I did not follow the war closely living in Norway, but I remember it well being a subscriber to BP, EB/BTH and even KotK, and buying the others on matches I attended. I've heard som good stories over the years being mates with Noel, Bibby and Steve whom I all love to bits btw. And it looks like there are a few more on the way...

With the festive period rapidly hurtling towards us, I think it is an apt time to mention the memorable Xmas fanzine gatherings in the years gone past. For some reason particular nights in the The Sevenoaks (James Stannage in there early doors before his late night phone-in show!) and The Crown spring to mind. Some great sessions were had. Good memories.

There's a film in this, nevermind just a book!

I've started considering actors who are best suited to play the leading roles. Now let me think......
I've got somebody in mind for your part don't want to hurt your feelings though mate :-)

Are we casting them using 'proper' actors or just a few well known celebs we could equate them to?

And do they have to be dead or alive or does it not matter? :)

You can cast a dead celebrity in their first acting role if you want.

Anything goes.
