City flags in unusual places.

I recorded a Louis Theroux series a few years ago & one of the episodes was about the seedier side of Hollywood featuring porn stars, producers & avid watchers.

Theroux interviewed a brash Yank dude who owned a big porn film franchise, & he had this big fuck off City flag on a pole in his office! Surreal... \0/

What with Thaksin and all, we've had some properly classy connections over the years…

I live in Newton Heath, just off Droylsden Road, and Failsworth is literally a 100 yards away. How that can be classified as Oldham is a huge mystery. One that Arthur C. Clarke would do well to investigate.
used to go in the railway in the heath on match days

Stayed in Comares for 6 weeks a few years ago, did you buy in the area?
Stayed there too mate, beautiful village but we didn’t buy in that area.
Settled on Montejaque just near Ronda, it’s stunning there and we agreed to buy a house just before covid hit and during the first lockdown it all fell through unfortunately. The funds we had went on buying another house here instead but think we will go back to Montejaque at some point

Is that the big pub on Deane Lane, almost opposite the tram stop ??
I'm just over the road from The Church Inn, which I sometimes go in to watch City away games.
no, the one on the level crossing on berry brow, sadly no longer open

Yep, I've walked past it umpteen times when we have been going for a walk down through Clayton Vale , I've never been in and as you say it closed down a couple of years ago.
Along with The Culcheth Gates and another one on Culcheth Lane that has been demolished and is now half a dozen houses.

Isn’t it a wood carving (tree) of Elvis with a guitar?
But yes, it gets dressed up in all sorts, including City stuff every so often iirc.
Yes it probably is have only gone past it at speed by car or bike. Quite impressive though.
