City games allegedly fixed

Yep, definitely no corruption in football. None whatsoever, clean as a whistle.

Bribes for tournaments is not the same as mass game fixing in the most scrutinised and televised league in the world. Just too many people involved for it to be kept secret. But you are entitled to believe what you want, but clearly no point in following any football if you believe in mass fixing is there?

Italian football and Juventus likes your post to name just two!

Well guys why bother going to a game if you think it's all fixed. I would spend my time doing something more worthwhile if I felt like you did.

That doesn't explain why the opposition are often afforded 3/4 poor challenges before a card is shown yet our first similar foul is often a yellow.
I agree with the premise of what you've posted though. We often resort to cynical fouls due to being caught on the counter because of how we play.

Yeah. It doesn't explain what you've mentioned, however I think there are probably other reasons (can't give a yellow this early in the match, incompetence/bad calls, the perceived reputation of some of our players, a salt of the earth player getting stuck into those fancy dan foreigners) first and foremost rather then widespread corruption. Occams Razor and all that.

If you say so lol

What a great contribution to the thread pal. Really added a nuance that we hadn't considered.

Agree with this. Kompany does it a lot too. Most of the time I think our yellows are deserved, but it's frustrating when the opposition seemingly yet away with clear offences.

You can quite clearly see it with Kompany. He's always willing to cop a yellow to stop the play. I think it was the Everton game where the ball was spread wide to Calvert-Lewin and Komps just ran straight through him near the touchline and copped the yellow. It happens so often in our games that I think it is clearly an instruction from Pep.

Why didn't McCulaey get booked on Wednesday when he cynically grabbed Jesus on the half way line after he turned him?

I don't know mate. Probably the same reason why two of our goals didn't get flagged for offside against Watford - a genuine mistake or incompetence.

Yes, there is a point in following City because it'll make it all the sweeter when we win trophies despite the officials trying their hardest to hinder us.

The discussion, you introduced, was about yellow cards.
Straw man to bring up debatable, incredibly tight offsides
You've lost

Who spilled the beans at UEFA and FIFA?

The answer to that is no one spilled the beans.
That is half my arguement. Everyone knew they were corrupt but no one did anything. The fans couldn't do anything and the powers that be didn't want to do anything. As I posted earlier, we actually admitted to bribing World Cup officials in an attempt to get it brought here. No one spilled the beans because they were all making so much money. It took the Americans to start looking into the cesspit and caught the fat bloke red handed, he then decided to turn and the house of cards started falling.
Without the Americans we would still be at square one with everyone knowing how bent they were. The fact that our FA openly bribed people and they thought it normal beggars belief. If they can do that they will do anything to keep the money rolling in. But of course I am wrong because I can't prove any of it !!!! The raids on FiFA were in every newspaper but thats not proof is it.

Sure there is / has been some corruption and match fixing I just do not believe it is anywhere near as wide spread as this thread says it is.

I agree, which is why I brought it up
There have been several cases of football corruption and none involved splicing any Heinz
