Simon has always been level headed and sided with a judgement tbf to him. Even on Leicester he’s said it’s shitty what they did but you cannot argue it.

It is true. We took the PL to court over the full set of rules, not certain parts of them. The intention would have been to ensure those that restrict us were removed - job done. But we didn't limit our case to certain elements of the rulebook we sought to remove all of them.

It was just a negotiation tactic. We have got everything we wanted from the case. Before February this year City have always supported financial regulation. Khaldoon has repeatedly stressed that all we have ever wanted is fair treatment. The PL sabotaged two of our sponsor deals and would not even allow us to discuss how they arrived at their decision. Independent Judges have now ruled this was illegal and unfair. The word I would use is corruption. It was a corrupt decision. It needs to be called out for what it is.

It's all.of their own making. We tried, God how we tried, to conform, to fit in, to appease and to be nice. The only problem was we kept on winning things. In spite of all their hatred, bile, illegal rule changes, letter writing and a relentless media smear campaign, we just kept on winning. Trophy after trophy while playing the best football this country had ever seen. They mistook our kindness for weakness, until the bullies went one step too far, bouyed by our compliance. It’s because he called it wrong and doesn’t want that to be the perception around him so is he is therefore not fully backtracking.

He’s not covered himself with glory with this APT case. I still think Stefan is generally trustworthy though.

Talksport aside there is no doubt that City view the ruling as a big win and, on the back of that, have gone for the PL like never before.

City are trying to smash the PL leadership here and now.
