Cosmos got no stadium, no one got any NY stadium..Yet!

Two points here:

B) The Cosmos aren't in the MLS so they don't have any requirement on them to be playing in a Soccer Specific Stadium.

Eh, I never said that it would definitely get confirmed. I was just reacting to what seemed to me to be your casting of doubt on my assertion that MLS teams needed SSS. Just to reiterate, I did also quantify my last comment by pointing out that the Cosmos are not an MLS team and therefore are under no obligation to build (or find and rent) a SSS in the way that NYCFC 100% are, and also I did say that the Cosmos are "in the process of building", not "are about to open the doors on". I'm aware that it might fall through.

I was just more or less thinking aloud, the NY Yankees went thru something like 20 planning application reviews before they got their stadium built. It´s really a nightmare in New York..Only an ownership group with political clout and a limitless supply of money might have a realistic chance I guess.

I will be surprised if the team opens up its 2015 season in its own purpose built stadium be it in The Bronx or Queens. Where will they play? Hopefully not that shithole on Randalls Island. I saw Pele play there with the Cosmos in 1975 or was it 76???

No it´s not possible to build a stadium in such short time..But there´s in USA a company that provides temporary stadiums for a couple of years if they just get a space to build it.
After the lease they just pick up the modules, clubs like say Vancouver used it while building their new stadium.

As you can see it´s not much concrete and mostly steel poles being used.

I wouldn't fancy joining in on a mass Poznan on that fucker.
