City Matters thread

The next time the club want us to vote for a CMR, you know hat to do, don’t!

Unfortunately there will be enough new City fans who will buy into the voting process on the OS.

This week has shown up what a farce the whole City Matters thing is.

Secret meetings with the club where there are no minutes published or any release of anything discussed is a complete waste of time.

Box ticking nonsense.

The CM committee should have the courage to say to the club that minutes get published or we all resign.

Organised by people within the club who don't want to/aren't listening.
I've said this before but having been involved from the bseginn for 4 years, they'd listen but wouldn't do anything that might involve an element of risk. I had high hopes of the new COO and he's kicked off a huge programme of work to improve the fan experience, which he recognised wasn't as good as it could be.

At least, he told us (City Matters) he'd done this but hasn't at any time actively involved anyone from the group. How the hell can you improve the end-to-end fan experience without talking to fans or even their supposed representatives?

The Real Madrid ticket sales issue was a case in point. It could have been easily avoided by asking fans what they thought was a fair system. It might have been that it would be difficult to implement the best suggestion, as it would involve significant manual effort. But at least talk to fan representation about this and be open.

From what I see on Twitter, all of their statements have been after the club's released things, rather than before them
I don't want to put words in the mouths of my erstwhile colleagues but this is probably the biggest frustration. City Matters won't ever be consulted about strategic decisions, such as a new hospitality area, but we should be consulted in advance about the communications (which is often poor) and how the aftermath should be handled.

They should absolutely have been consulted about the semi-final ticket selling criteria. It's so typical of the club's still largely amateurish approach to areas of operational planning, and lack of strategy, that we don't seem to have robust systems in place for situations like this and seemingly often fly by the seat of our pants.

They never represented the fans, only themselves.
A handful of bitter tossers like you come out with this stuff constantly. Care to tell the forum how I did that? Because I'd really love to know.

Wankstains like you have no fucking idea how much time and effort we put in to try to make things better for fans, against a management team who really don't seem to give a fuck.
