City Matters thread

Yep absolutely nothing dodgy about having 1 staff turnstile but all the rest have been fitted with facial recognition, all above board
It’s a blooming big stadium! Why would an employee who is working for example in the area behind entrance a want to waste time walking all the way round to entrance w if that is where facial recognition is? Time and motion studies would have a field day!!

In the ASDA across the road when it first opened the people working on what was then the clothes and miscellaneous area had an extra 5 minutes added to their breaks because of the walk from their area to the staff break rooms!!

Absolutely can put this across

At the last meeting we strongly put across how poor comms from them have been, nothing seems to have changed so far
It's been the same story since CM started 7 years ago. The first incident was the relocation for the Tunnel Club, which came across as completely insensitive. There's no easy way to tell people they're going to have to move their seats but there is a way to do it that maybe doesn't piss them off more than necessary.

Their communication is invariably piss-poor and they resolutely refused to run it past CM so we can ensure it was better. They've sill not sussed that CM is there to help, not hinder them.

Are you going to ask them to rethink this ridiculous 10 game personal attendance/ 16 times SC usage whilst at the same time making it really hard to transfer tickets. And can you ask are they aware of the huge disconnect between the club and fans and what are they doing to win back lapsed fans

Yes 10 game policy and ticket transfer issues also been raised along with how club are going to rebuild trust / relationship with fans
First matter is the North stand, and wanted to put something out in particular re that item, for awareness

Thanks. They can start to rebuild trust by stop fleecing fans. Four SC behind me didn’t attend last home game, seats were taken by three juniors and an adult. Friend asked how much they paid for the seats, response was £700!

This isn’t a question. It’s a personal observation.

The directors do know don’t they, the way things are going between the directors and the fans, and the more stringent ticketing rules, etc, which the directors approved, the extra 8000 seats aren’t going to sell out. I take it the directors are happy with that outcome?

Since facial recognition isn't being used for fans it's not an issue.
Of course it's being used. it's there to give the club complete control over who enters the stadium. Don't believe people who say it isn't being used as they are stooges for the controlling club. It's control, it really is, I read about in in Conspiracy Theories Are Us.

Unless the wonderfully insightful Marjorie Taylor Greene says it's true on QAnon then I don't believe it ;)

All very good and valid points, I'd hope they were accompanied by some suggested solutions such as where in the stadium they could offer relocated seats and at what guaranteed price, and what configuration the CM team feel would bring the best result for the stadium and fans.

Having worked in negotiation skills for many years, it's always a much more conducive meeting when both sides offer something on the table rather than demands.

We do have constructive suggestions
What we tried to put across on the document was what we would be raising in particular to the North Stand, based on the feedback we have received
