Even money on the "Harrogate Hawk"Not really. Some won’t like Kevin Parker. That’s life. Not everyone gets on.
That said, I’m taking bets on who is the Rui Pinto of the OSC!
I've just been on the club website, reading through the City Matters meeting minutes from May 1st it seems like there's confirmation here that - given this meeting happened the day before the Wolves protest - the club wasn't going to change the fact that matchday prices for the upcoming season would be frozen, not reduced, despite all the vital protestations from CM reps.
This seems to put paid (in writing) to the idea it was anything other than the protests that changed the club's mind? Makes the club's claim that this happened after "consultation with City Matters" feel a bit hollow.

It's bad enough that they take 6 weeks to upload meeting minutes, including after following meetings have taken place! It's almost as if they don't want a clued up fanbase....Very good spot Bert.

The problem with your view is that "the fans" have many different & often opposite views. There is no consensus among the fanbase on many issues so you can never win. I took some horrendous abuse because we made decisions that some gobshites didn't like. The CMG statement makes no refereeing to that. Or to the part the fans played in getting the ticket prices reduced via the protests. All the statement mentions is through ‘OUR’ dialogue, and the fan voices ‘THROUGH’ City Matters, etc. Shows the club’s commitment ‘TO City Matters’. Continued engagement and ‘TRANSPARENCY’, etc.

Perhaps it’s just me. If it is I’ll apologise in advance.
To me it seems City Matters Reps have become just as secretive amongst themselves, as the club is. Who is actually pulling the strings amongst the City Matters Reps? Which City Matters Reps are making the final decisions? Who decides what get’s put in, and what doesn’t get put in the statements, etc? Nobody knows.
I’ve touched in this before. Every City Matters Rep has to remember they have been voted for by the fans. They are there to represent the fans, not to represent themselves and their own views, opinions, and agendas. Unfortunately there seems to be a bit of us and them creeping into the City Matters Reps, when in reality the sole purpose of every City Matters Rep is to represent the fans and the fans wishes, even if that goes against what individual City Matters Reps think and want, which has been evident this season.
Uwe’s Grandad knows what to do!For that to happen the whole roof would have to collapse under a thunderstorm.

But we made decisions, which were invariably agreed ones, based on discussions we had with the club on the basis of the evidence presented. The case of the Thomas Cook flights was a perfect example, where the club came to us with a problem and we looked at potential solutions. The least bad one was to give a ticket to anyone who booked a flight, whether they had the points or not. We had all the numbers and details of the contract to base the decision on. That process took a long and involved discussion, that looked at a number of potential solutions.
Ultimately we worked out it meant maybe 50 tickets would go to people who didn't have the points, which was a much smaller number than away tickets from seasoncard holders who did qualify for away games going to people that didn't. Yet we got criticism and abuse for trying to stop that, while we got abuse for allowing maybe 50 people to have access to tickets they didn't qualify for. So "the fans" can be hypocritical.
That doesn't mean that I agree with everything CM reps do. My successor's refusal to sign the letter protesting against ST price rises was completely out of order. You can be happy with the price you personally pay while still being opposed to price rises that impact others. I made that point to her but she didn't change her mind. That was an example of a rep putting their personal view ahead of their responsibility to the wider fan group they represent.
I don't agree with the view of some reps about the 10-game minimum attendance requirement but I accept there's no "right" view on that.
There were also regular comments on the lines of "Why didn't you get the club to do.....?" as if we could demand something and the club would meekly agree.
It's easy for individuals and groups to shout their mouths off from the sidelines and behind their keyboards and you can definitely point accusing fingers at the club over their attitude to fan engagement, but sometimes you have to be in the tent rather than pissing on it from outside.
Good point. Perhaps City Matters has massively changed from the time that you were on it Prestwich, as you make it sound like there wouldn't have been such a split back then. Something has gone badly wrong within City Matters, maybe it's just bad reps. I don't know. The season ticket rep not signing that statement last year may aswell have been a resignation notice.Fans and groups…
Like CM themselves who were so frustrated by the club not listening to them a majority decide to go on strike.
Pissing from inside because the club were pissing on them.
I don't think any of them do now.Does any City Matter rep post on here since Alex left? When is their next meeting? Were they told the detail of the ticket transfer rules? Were they happy with it?
Questions, questions.
You've had a statement from the club: They will be used for employees to gain admission to the stadium. - Whether you choose to believe that is another matter, but you've had the statement. It would be helpful if there was CM rep who could engage on here now that we have sadly lost Alex (although I'm sure he's alive and kicking somewhere).
So many unanswered questions about ticket transfers with just a few days before it kicks in. Surely (don't call me Shirley) this should be when our representative comes to the fore?
And my main beef is about them facial recognition cameras they've installed at the turnstiles. We need a statement from City and CM about how exactly they will be used.
