City Matters thread

I'm not on twitter but reading between the lines I guess he applied for one of the posts and was turned down? The "told them how it is" bit may explain why though ;)

I don't think the new people have been announced yet?

I’m on X and noticed Sean has told city that it was unsafe for fans next to the Gala end because of the missiles that had been thrown from the away end. He contrasted that with rigorous searches of City’s elderly fans trying to get in the ground. All reasonable points, I think.

I don’t follow people closely on X but Sean has made several posts saying he wants the person who gets the CM role to do well and he’s offered his support. I think he also pointed out that ticket transfer restrictions had reduced attendances.

It’s not radical.

Afternoon, please accept my apologies
I have inadvertently conflated the in game policy and the utilisation polixy
It’s the utilisation that I have quoted

Full info will follow in the full minutes when published
The data about ST usage or the Spurs first game counting towards usage or in person isn't in the minutes.

My mum has been severely ill over the course of this season. I have been open and transparent about her lack of attendance with the club and the fact I have listed or reused her ticket.
The club have been fantastic and supportive in their support twds my mum and have said that she will not lose her season ticket. Honesty is the best policy and I have not had to go into any details about specific illness' etc so credit the club and disability access team where it is due
I don't agree with the way we are being rail-roaded by the Club regarding season ticket usage - HOWEVER, due to a family medical issue my son has missed games this season and is unlikely to meet the 10 games criteria but the Club readily agreed to exempt him from it. In fact they could not have been more sympathetic. The only proviso is that we must put his seat on the Exchange whenever he's unable to attend. That's fair enough in my book. Anyone in a similar situation should contact City before it's too late.

They don’t want real opinions. They want a panel of easy yes men who won’t stray too far from the party line. City Matters is nothing more than a mandatory box ticking exercise, why people think it’s more than that I’ll never know.

The whole thing has about as much legitimacy as a Russian election.

No, but a good organisation would listen to its customers and take on board their concerns.

I agree mate but I don’t think the Club know which fans to listen to. They would probably rather listen to those who kiss the Directors’ arses than Sean.

That said. It’s also important for the fans reps to be a bit balanced (but mainly in the fans favour). I have read recent posts that City couldn’t have been more helpful with exemptions from the “10 game rule”. I know they have helped a friend of mine in this regard. It’s not the season card grab some were obsessed with.

In addition, the Etihad wont be full tomorrow night because of the 12 game guaranteed refunds scheme as well as match day prices.

Furthermore. I read that it’s only local fans who fill the seats for antisocial kick off time Prem games. We’ve got a full coacch that starts in North Yorkshire.

I’ve got an Irish mate who says, “there are always 3 different versions of the truth”.

My Gran used to say, there's your truth, their truth and the real truth.

The nuances of a statement when written down can feel different to the nuances when spoken.

You are correct Tim when you say we don't know who the club are listening to. Maybe they have people coming at them from more than one side. Who do they listen to? Why do they listen to them? We don't know. JMHO

Danny Wilson came to our supporters club a while ago, and the implication he gave was that any genuine reasons why the 10 game rule wasn't achieved would be looked at extremely favourably. That said, he still couldn't understand why STs transferring to other STs was a thing...

Incidentally, Newcastle isn't a guaranteed refund match. I've had a seat on there for a week now without a sniff.

Newcastle is a guaranteed refund game. As with all guaranteed refund games though tickets have to be listed 10 days before.

Danny is under pressure on the ticket transfer restrictions (that are too excessive) cos his boss Roel is really keen on boosting our match day membership numbers. The ticket transfer restrictions haven’t worked but might be presented to the Board as a success because match day membership will have increased.

The key is to make sure the benefits of match day membership are clearly better than the cost.

Thanks for the info about Newcastle game.

The change to kick-off time has buggered that up. Personally I am getting heartily sick of all these late matches.
The change of time was know well before the cut off for Guaranteed Refunds.

If the deadline of Wednesday 11th Feb has been met it wouldn't matter if it sold or not.

I would have prefered it earlier but it is the Clubs' fault as they sign off on the TV deals for the PL.
