I travelled through from Wigan last week thinking I was going out of my way. Got speaking to the bloke in the queue behind me and he’d travelled all the way from Leicester as he couldn’t get through. You could travel from Birmingham and it would be quicker.
The ticket office was a complete fucking shambles when he was club secretary, I am not sure where this “saint” Bernard reputation came from. The only thing he accomplished as club secretary, based on my dealings with him, was that he did it for a long time. Badly. However it is more inexcusable that it is still shite in the current eraI miss Bernard.
Ah, but a lot of the Oldham/Chadderton blues knew Bernard and could go straight to him.The ticket office was a complete fucking shambles when he was club secretary, I am not sure where this “saint” Bernard reputation came from. A lifelong City supporter, Bernard – who was born in May 1941 - watched his beloved Blues from the terraces of Maine Road as a child, watching the Club’s fluctuating fortunes of the 1950s and 60s.
Born and raised in Chadderton, he completed his education at St Gregory’s in Ardwick in 1956 - and after a spell in the cotton industry - Bernard joined his local club, Oldham Athletic, as secretary, before fulfilling a boyhood dream by taking up a key role with his beloved Blues 13 years later.

Good luck mate, give us an update of how long you were on hold for.Not enjoying reading this thread. I think as a Citizen Matchday member who has today been sent an email with link to download my ECL ticket to my iPhone, I need to phone up tomorrow for the first time this season, to request they send me a new email with Print At Home faculty (as my iPhone is older than iPhone 6).
As I understand it, that’s the only way I’ll be able to get in (without buying a new phone), and will need to go through the same rigmarole of phoning up 7 days before every match I want to go to this season(?) … some phone bill I’m gonna have
