City or Aston Villa vs Reading - FA Cup 6th Round

Re: Reading it is...

if we lose tomorrow you can all blame me, I said today that Chelsea would beat the rags as they never do us a favour, and Reading would beat Everton and then City would go and lose to Villa because that would be "typical City" style....oh shit I'm sooooooooooo sorry!!!!!

Aston Villa and Reading at home stopping us from getting to Wembley for a Semi-Final.

No disrespect to either sides as they have as much chance of getting through as we do, but we will be favourites in both, at home in both and surely have no better chance of getting to wembley or winning this club for a long long time.

What we don't want to do is have a piss poor crowd for tommorrows game and have it as quiet as it was on Sunday, the players will be up for it but are we? We haven't won anything in 35 years, the majority of us have never seen us win anything, i will be up for it, shouting my head off tommorrow and supporting the lads all the way, am i on my own?

COME ON CITY

Re: Reading it is...

I will be very disappointed if we dont come out guns blazing tomorrow. That loss at VP should still be very fresh in every City players mind.

I'll start thinking about the next round if and when we get past Villa FFS.

I cannot believe some of the comments. "Should" be going to Wembley?? Why so? Villa are a Premier League side that beat you 3 weeks ago and Reading are a tough outfit that have just won at Goodison. City have not won a thing in decades but now you "should" beat everyone that comes your way. Sounds a bit presumptuous to me.

Beating blackburn at home makes you barcelona does it???? one result doesn't make you a great side, so back in your box. nobody has said we WILL get through, just that we would be pissed off not to get through, taking 2 home ties into account. as im sure the villa fans would be if you were playing us at your place, followed by reading.

Who mentioned Blackburn? I know that I didn't. My point was that is such an air of inevitability about City winning (according to most posts on this site since the draw) and if you don't it will be "typical City" with no regard to a decent Prem side like us actually, possibly playing well and deserving to win. We are not "Barcelona" far from it but then neither are City. How many games did it take to beat Notts County and Leicester?

EDIT; And btw, LOADS of people have said that City WILL win on here. Loads. And to tbh I think you will too, just the arragonce of some is mind boggling since the Sheikh arrived.

No chance of complacency tomorrow, good, open, game, City to come out on top.

Reading will a different story!

Re: Reading it is...

What did i say?

there was no guarantee Everton would beat Reading! There's no guarantee we'll beat Villa tomorrow, But what an incentive to the lads now.

Villa and Reading at home to get to Wembley.

^Mr. Mancini, there's your team talk fella^

We are all going to be devastated if we don't win tomorrow now.

One thing is for sure, this place will go into meltdown tomorrow night. It's either a 'Wembley here we come and totally dismiss Reading' mood or it's a 'I've had enough, the bastards have broke my heart for the last time' one.
