City Square Stage Is No More :-( What Did You Think Of It And What It Offered?

Same reaction as many on here. I kind of liked that it was there, but was never interested actually in anything that was going on. Seemed to be bands that were completely unknown to me playing rock ordinaire, and It's A Knock Out competitions for the kids. Queuing endlessly at the Summerbee Bar just to get an ordinary pint looked like far more mither than it was worth. Used to pick my way through it without looking back.
Will not be missed by me, whatever replaces it.

Used to like 5 mins watching Mike McClean before he was deemed 'proper naughty'.

These days I normally use the bogs on the way from where my car was to the pub.

Much too cheesy and mot aimed at a 60 years old legacy fan & I'm pretty sure the new one won't either.

Warren Clarke? He’s been dead since 2014. Did we have City Square back then? Doesn’t seem like we’ve had it that long but I could be wrong time blends into one these days.
I know, I was shocked when I checked his expiry date. He was pissed up that day at City and turned the air bluer than it already was if I remember correctly.

No was 100% her the second he walked on stage, no mention of his historic achievement, just straight in with that ridiculous question, even Pep looked completely bewildered.

Also the Mitchell Arms, it got a new roof and then work ceased.
That was our pub of choice before matches... loved the parrot! We were speaking to the landlady when they knew it was going to close and it was hikes in council rates that forced them out of business.
I only went in Bank of England once. That was enough.
My dad and his mates used to meet in The Bradford. I only went in there a couple of times. I do remember going with him after an early kick-off and they had a BBQ going and there was 'local girls dancing' entertainment in the later evening. I'm sure City Sq would have a few more takers if they went down that route...

The idea of it was fine but the reality, like most things pure cheese, screeching down the mic, and the positioning of the stage to the bars etc wasn't very practical

Hopefully also the end of Natalie and Danny and the shite sanitised bollocks, never forgiven her for the first question she asked Pep when he took to the stage at the parade , " do you think oasis should get back together ", although I suspect it's just the start of more.

Did she really ask him that straight off the bat? Straight up?? Un-fucking-believable. The best coach in the world, and he's asked that. I don't care if Oasis never get back together again. Noel Gallagher probably doesn't. Liam certainly doesn't.
She's usually better than that, to be fair.
