City to start charging blue badge holders for matchday disabled parking

I am in no way being dismissive of the paltry pay people in this situation find themselves in, I do however ask how they afford a ticket for the match in the first place, regardless of the club charging for blue badge spaces.

A ticket to the game is 50% of the pay
I don’t think anybody on Carers allowance will be attending the games at The Etihad

It's become noticeable that the club are gradually leaving many original, pre take-over, fans behind. Success on the field and building state of the art facilities that will ultimately provide a good monetary return, does not equate to actually caring and being considerate.
I gave up hope long ago of a Franck Muller or Patek Phillip in the Season Ticket gift box ;-, - (oh look another scarf), but the completely unnecessary decision to do this, is an absolutely shameful disgrace.

I have been saying this for a while and believe it or not there are enough "I'm alright Jacks" knocking about who claim to have socialist ideals but just not on this subject.

Quite happy to clap their hated 1%ers in the stadium as the club continues to shaft its legacy fans.

Yep that's all he gets , he gave up work to care full time
What? His ‘ONLY’ income is Carers allowance of £81/week and he buys a ticket for each game which costs over half that? How does he afford to live, eat, accommodation, clothes, fuel. He must have other means of income or savings. Or a wealthy partner

He has a season ticket , I have never pried into his financial status as it's non of my business

Fair enough of course. I have every admiration for full time carers. I know personally the work they do as I’m one they care for.

What about all those that are not disabled but struggle with money but still have to pay for Parking. The spaces are there to make sure those who need it can park close, no need for it to be free. I'd except it being reduced cost like a senior citizen season ticket but it shouldn't be free. Those well off season ticket holders don't pay double the price on tickets though do they, but they pay for parking lol.
Can you not see any difference?. Based on what you’re saying we may as well get rid of all the schemes which help disabled people. I’m actually bewildered at your response.

Disabled people in particular are some of the most vulnerable people in society and often are on low incomes. Why are you ok with preventing them from attending games (accessibility) and pricing some of them out.
