City v Arsenal Post Match Thread

I thought it was a fantastic game, reminded me so much of the 5-2 against Tottenham many years ago now with both sides going at it from the start. I thought Arsenal acquitted themselves very well and It wouldn't surprise me to see them maintaining this challenge all the way. As for us I thought we played some of the best football I've seen from a City side (or maybe I was caught up in it all) but the speed of our passing, one touch for much of the time and the interaction often at very close quarters was sensational and our pace and movement was breathtaking and Arsenal really struggled to cope and keep their shape with this. It's easy for Wenger to say they made mistakes but the reason they made mistakes was because we came at them non-stop and was on them pressing and moving into space and stretching their defence all done seemingly effortless and at will. If we can keep this going then it's ours to lose.

I viewed a few Arsenal forums yesterday and some of the comments were laughable. They genuinely think they were robbed, some of them even think they were the better team and if the ref and linesman hadn't cheated, they would have won 6-5. That's RAWK levels of delusion.

I read over 500 mainly on the Grauniad comments, and it dawned on me why arse fans are so universally laughed at by everyone else. They can't all be 11 year olds, but you would put money on it . Sore-arse syndrome, mass hysteria worst losers ever

The offside trap we have been using this season is very dangerous. It failed in Munich and it failed again vs Arsenal.

And we also failed to lose those games..

Amazing game of football, genuinely one of the best games I've ever been to and felt like a derby from the start. We are really beginning to build some momentum now, can't wait to play bin dippers now...

Was not worried about the handball, thought it was the right call since it ricocheted off his leg first.

Do think we were fortunate with this one: <a class="postlink" href="https://vine.co/v/h2IlOxJE1x1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://vine.co/v/h2IlOxJE1x1</a>

Nasty tackle that from yaya on giroud

That is a horrible challenge and definitely should have seen a red card.

All I can say is that equally Giroud has gone in studs up off the ground too and missed the ball, if he had made contact with Yaya then that is a red too, not that it is excusing something quite naughty.
