Let's get the ref out of the way: should haven given a pen against Zabba but in general did well with the game overall I thought.

Onto City: quite simply fucking awesome. I never thought I would see the day we put 6 past Arsenal. Sure, there were a couple of lapses - Yaya for their first (what the fuck were you doing lad?!) and Demichelis is still settling into the game. That said, I still thought (overall again) Demichelis played really well. Fernandinho finally got a goal and what great strikes they were; what a fucking immense player this lad is. Gutted we lost Sergio and hoping nothing too serious (will read up in a bit) but he is such a world class striker. Beast was his usual bustling handful and good value for his goal. Merlin is simply stunning. Navas played well when he came on. Pants made some great saves but still gives me the flutters. Vinny is a colossus. Zabba a warrior. Clichy was very good and understated. Yaya - need to stay focused mate. Milner played well when he came on. Garcia didn't do anything wrong and wasn't on long enough. And last but by certainly no means least.. Samir Nasri. What a fucking game the lad had. On another day and with his shooting boots on he'd have had at least a hat trick.

The game could quite easily having finished 13-6 to City.

What a great game and I'll say again, cannot believe we stuck 6 past Arsenal.

Eh up Gooner mate. You are right, the away form has got to be sorted but that said, I think we might have turned the corner with that. We beat WBA away, drew with Soton and beat Bayern in the last 3 so fingers crossed it is sorted or at the very least on a very nice upward trend :))

id say 5 past spurs at the lane 6 past united at the swamp beating you at your place carling cup and league last year 6 v wolves 5 past Norwich all away games says are strike force isn't that bad away from home all the time, the away results are slip ups that EVERYONE has and more likely to happen yes AWAY, just be thankful we have them as if we didnt the title would be over already, there is no point repeating the same shit over and over, YOU will also drop points away this year to teams you expect to beat with the added problem you have already dropped points at home to Villa and Everton and we are only 3 points behind you and Chelsea even closer, also its my opinion you have played as well as you can this year and wont hit those levels again, imo your players aren't mentally strong enough to win trophies

Just logged on and seen the result from yesterday. Arrived in Melbourne this morning (about an hour after the match finished) and seeing my lad for the first time for 9 months later today. Can't wait, unfortunately, he's a rag. I know, but as I tell him, he can't help it, shit happens when you marry into a family of rags! To his credit I've just seen he posted on FB "watching the two best teams in the premiership"
That is a bloody fantastic result and hopefully will continue for the other 9 games I'm missing. All I can say is, Steve, who I gave my season card to - I hope you enjoyed it.
