City v Bristol City 1st leg post match

Worst performance of the season.

Shakhtar away was bad but that was a meaningless game with a shadow team playing.

No excuses tonight. Hopefully a little kick up the arse for Anfield
We've played worse this season and won more comfortably. We weren't quite as tight at the back as usual but we had back ups in four out of the five defenders and it showed there was not as much cohesion as usual which allowed them to press. We also didn't have our shooting boots on the eir keeper played well with a great save from Sterling and two decent ones from De Bruyne together with a great goal line clearance.
We certainly weren't at out best but if that s as low as it goes we have nothing to worry about,

There's 17 other Prem teams out there that wish they were in our position in the Semi-Final of this cup, suck it in and enjoy it peeps

If we're absolutely honest we stole that one. Credit to Bristol, they played well. The pressed and defended well. However, we were poor in so many departments, Mangala is just awful and should be nowhere near this squad. Stones had a very poor night. He look a long way off being match fit and a little short on confidence. As many others have said, it is time Yaya was moved on. Its been a privilege watching him but he is simply too slow for this team. In no particular order Danilo, Gundogan and Bernardo were poor and Sane is so frustratingly wasteful at times.

On a more positive note, kdB is just so good and that pass by Brave that lead to our first goal was a thing of beauty.

The good news is that we are ahead on aggregate and its hard to imagine we will be that poor in the second leg.

Nothing stolen about that, at all. We weren't at our brilliant best, but we kept going till the end and finally broke them down.

Bristol gave it all and left on the pitch.
Parked the bus and worked hard to press at times.
The amount of hatred toward our players is unnecessary.
Right brats here throwing toys when we don’t 8 goals or more .

Nothing mate. He was f*ckin’ unlucky with that penalty too.

His reading of penalties is excellent. Was unlucky.
Nearly saved their only real chance created by fuck ups from two others.
Created the first goal.
Excellent handling.
Came for some crosses and swept up well behind the defence.

Yet still gets slated.

Thought it was funny that at HT those in the studio were claiming the high press by BCFC was working. Fast forward a few minutes later and Bravo passes through the press and we are in possession in midfield with 5 or 6 BCFC players on the wrong side of the ball. Then seconds later we score.

The biggest loss to our team's cohesion is not playing Ederson. Bravo is a complete dithering fool who creates needless pressure and encourages the opposition to press high.

Relieved to win but we've needlessly made the 2nd Leg a task rather than a day out.
He didn't put a foot wrong tonight.
Hasn't all season.
