Best all-round performance of the season for me, given the absences and quality of opposition. Could have been 4 or 5 but what I really enjoyed was the battle, the heart, the spirit and the professionalism. The way we kept possession and stifled Chelsea when we were 2-0 up was just wonderful.

He's given one, basically said how good they were to beat us twice this season but we were the better team today.

Chavs looked mentally weak, tactically bereft of ideas, and were physically dominated.

THAT'S more like it.

I think this was Vinnie's best game for us in a long while. Chavs rarely got anything going and when they did Vinnie just squashed the life out of them. That little ballboy-kicking poof Hazard looked utterly terrified of him.

Think the Barca game has come two weeks too early if I'm honest

Nas back looking sharp, serge might even make the bench and Pell could risk him for 30 mins depending on how the games going and the workrate on display today if we press Barca and deny them space and time like we did to Chelsea anythings possible.

don't get me wrong I thought we were brilliant today but pressing Chelsea like that is one thing but pressing Barca like that is a different thing all together

It's simple we need that commitment,workrate,overbearing harrying and space and time denial displayed today ............. OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES !

Top drawer performance, Garcia was excellent in midfield, Clichy had a good game at left back and Lescott mopped up some of their more dangerous moments. We never gave them a sniff, god knows how they beat us 2 weeks ago. We were quick to them in the first half and stamped ourselves all over them, Hazard never had a sniff. Well done blues
