City v Chelsea Post Match Discussion

There's a lot of love on here (and rightly so) for Kolo, Rodwell, Yaya, and Milner, but just how good is Silva? Apart from having unbelievable vision, fantastic control, and being almost the perfect passer of a ball, he also works really hard and is one of our better tacklers, despite giving up about 6 inches and two stone in most challenges.

He had a slightly shaky start to the season, but back to his very best, if you ask me.

As bad as soton game was that was an excellent performance. Was worried about kolo and Garcia. Eat my words. Brill. As was Rodwell. Sensible substitution as he was booked. Two marvellous goals. That was a performance of champions.

Joined here as MEN is so poor these days.

Rodwell surprised me. I thought he was a few years off being Man City quality, but he showed today that he can fit into and surpass De Jong's shoes in no time at all.

Thought we were lucky to come up against a truly insipid Chelsea. We still lacked width and were too one-dimensional, but two well-taken goals against a poor defence covered that.

Rodwell is an entirely different player to de jong. He is more box - to - box, he is tall, elegant (elfish), has great technique, especially with his shooting, versatile and also tough tackling. His development has been disrupted with injuries but hopefully he can kick that to the curb and really start the journey to realising his potential.

I certainly rate him highly.

Not bad mate but must try a bit harder.

Filth on the wind up are usually a little more subtle (and intelligent).

If you want to see how to be a deep lying rag on a blue forum just drop billy or dismal a PM. They're the experts.

I don't even have words to describe how amazed I am by his play to be quite honest. I'll come off like a smitten schoolgirl.

Silva's a fantastic player ..... whenever we play well as a team , it's usually when this player is on his game ..... the guy can make a football 'talk' , and he can make the entire side tick.
