Dzeko oh dear
when are ppl going to understand he is worthless

Dzeko hit an all time low tonight - and that's about all he did hit. Never seen the guy play so badly.

Maybe Jovetic should start and he can go back to his 'super-sub' status.

Pellegrini hung us out to dry tonight - Some senior players need to be knocking on his door tomorrow - If he really thinks we can go two in midfield ALL the time (even with Fernandinho and Yaya} against the top teams then he needs his head testing!!!!

Relax. We didnt play that bad. It would've worked if we had Aguero and Fern. What he did makes perfect sense. Chelsea packed the centre so he created width. Problem was the personnel. We just werent up for this massive game.

Can't fault the effort tonight we just came up against a very solid team on the night, that said we still created at least three decent chances that could have got us a point.

Although chelsea should have scored more than 1 with more clinical finishing.

These type of games are where you need your best players all fit and raring to go, aguero would have been the difference.

Demichelis was ok given all the stick he has got, I think too many people are too easily lead by tv pundits who like an easy target.

I always thought this would be a tough test, we can still win the league from here though.

Ratings

Hart 6
Zaba 6
Kolarov 6
Kompany 7
Nastasic 5

Toure 6
Demichelis 6

Silva 7
Navas 7

Dzeko 5
Negredo 4

Jovetic 6

Personally, I thought Demichelis did OK, considering he was playing out of position, and got little support from his team mates. Our top players bottled it today, Silva, Yaya, Kompany, Dzeko, Negredo, and that disappointed me the most. They're the ones you expect to rise to the occasion, and they were poor. Our best players were Nastasic, Hart, Navas and Jovetic when he came on.

That was our worst performance since Bayern at home, and makes me concerned for Barcelona, and some of our big games away.

A few major problems presented themselves tonight:

Dzeko is a striker who can't shoot.

Demichellis is a Footballer who can't play football.

And Nastasic, Kolarov & Zabaleta are defenders who can't tackle.

Chelsea outplayed us, mourinho tactics and formation worked a treat for them. Chelsea should have won by at least a few more. We missed fernandinho in the middle, demichelis is not a midfielder. To be honest don' t think he's a footballer. Hopefully it's the wake up call, kick up the backside we needed forget all the media going on about the quadruple there's no way that was ever going to happen. We are a good side that play good entertaining football but Chelsea just didn't give us the chance to show it and were by far the better side. Well done to them, but the season is not over yet. Just forget tonight and move onto the next match. Let's hope normal service is resumed on Saturday, if it is God help Norwich.

Chins up boys. We are where we were this morning. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the better team won, and it's been a long time since we've had to do that.
Us v them for this title. All the way. This blip will be just that - a blip.

Good lad Pidge, spot on.

Big hugs all round. Know you like a bit of that ;)
Of course!

Injuries don't help but that is what Pellegrini gets paid the amount of money he does to make the most out of the players he has available. The squad out there was good enough to at least get a point from that game had Pellegrini got his tactics right.
You can select the best tactics in the world, but the players have to still deliver. The team as a whole didn't do that - not the tactics.

Oh come on. The manager is not exempt from criticism. He got schooled by Jose tonight plain and simple. 2 in midfield was suicide, leaving Dzeko on, making only one sub when we were screaming out for another midfielder. Jose set his team up right, got the goal and shut up shop and Pelle didn't have an answer.
Agreed.
Moo got better of Pelle.
