City v England quandry

England are over hyped every time a tournament is coming round from the John Barnes rap (think there may be a C missing from the front) to the stupid curry song, we are rubbish and I like many on here don't care if they win lose or draw as long as our players come home unhurt.
 
The U17s, U19s, and U21s are interesting to watch, England are good on every level of youth at the moment and there is nothing unlikeable yet as they haven't all become corrupted by the fame and wealth. The national team were quite likeable at times yesterday, without all the scumbags (Rooney, Terry, Cole, Lampard) playing, and were playing well until Holland's two goal smash-and-grab that reminded me of Bayern against us and highlighted England's need for a good centre-forward as Welbeck looked like a headless chicken.
 
i'd rather city beat bolton 5-0 and england win fuck all than city beat bolton 2-1 and england win the world cup.

couldn't give a rats arse.
 
I know we're all 'out of love' with England, and I really take no enjoyment watching them...however I do remember Italia 90 very fondly and was gutted we lost the semi.

A good run would capture my interest.

I think the "party" for an england world cup win would live longer in the memory than a city Carling cup victory.

But I'm not trying to convince anyone and I'm not going to argue with anyone...its all about personal preference I guess

There was a time when I would have considered myself an England supporter but tbh I lost all affinity with it in the Beckham era and since then I have total apathy at best. I look for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to do well more than I do England because in the main there is more integrity and honesty about them - and the idea of wishing success on that fat, pube-headed gimp regardless of the shirt on his back is repulsive.

So no quandry here. Love City. That is all.
