City v Everton post match

Todays performance was for me our best yet.

Imo of course.

Bookmark this post because over the course of the next 3 years, Pep will make us one of the greatest club sides thats ever existed and im in no doubt about it.

its remarkable what he has done in just 3 months or so.

As Ive said previously he doesn't have all the players to play the exact way he wants ....G.Jesus is another piece of that puzzle as are the fullbacks.

This season is going to be a close run thing between us Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal....spurs and pool have a head start on un in terms of the fact their teams are bedded in and managers have all the pieces of the puzzle in place. Pep is just starting and today showed how we can bounce back from a disappointing display vs spurs. Individual errors cost us today (missed penalties and failure of last pass) and everton defended very well, but the way the team was set up and played show real signs of what is coming.

Very frustrating not to win that.

One missed pen is bad enough but to then miss a second in exactly the same spot as the keeper saved the first one is fucking criminal. Aguero needs to come off penalties. He misses too many. I never feel confident when he takes one.

Some very nice football again and the pressing was good but the final ball was poor at times from the byline and we didn't create enough clear chances.

Kelechi was average to say the least although other than miss a pen Aguero did nothing either.

Silva and De Bruyne good.

One big problem we have is our inability to keep clean sheets. Everton were no threat at all but get one chance and score mainly due to Stones over committing and feeble defending from Clichy. We need to learn how to win games 1-0.

Dont bother with the first 26 pages mate as there are far worse, trust me!
Ha mate, just got in, I'll save the bother of reading the thread.

We played some magnificent football today, 2 wank penalties and Stekelenburg had one of those days.

Want to see the replay of their goal but to me Clichy was fucking pathetic by leaving Lukaku on his left, surely he needed to make him come inside?

Good to see Sane and Gundogan getting better. When they hit top form it's going to be special.

I wish Sterling would take on the fullback more often, with conviction. If he lost the ball more often than not I wouldn't care, just as long as he was more positive.

Agree on everything mate although Lukaku is an absolute beast of a player, so strong and will beat most players on his day.

Ive never enjoyed us missing 2 penalties or dropping 2 points like i have done today as i thought we played sublimely at times.

Very neat approach play, but no end product - bloody well shoot some times.

The two penalties were atrocious, how much do these clowns get paid they should be able to score from ten yards with only the keeper to beat.
