City v Everton post match

Came home feeling let down! Possession without an end product means nothing. Had chances but not clinical enough. Too many times we looked like Arsenal searching for the further clever pass rather than taking a chance and shooting.Thought Sterling was much better second half and Nolito was a welcome returnee.
Not sure why Kompany was given pointless few minutes run out when we needed to go for the win.
Corners and penalties need a rethink.
Definitely a work in progress but media will be all over us when we extend winless run to 4 after at best a draw against Barcelona.
Hopefully it was just post internationals tiredness but we will need to defend much better against Barca

We played very well. Everton showed no ambition - 9 outfield players behind the ball and resorted to huffing it to Lukaku. 99 times out of 100 we win that game.

Don't panic!

Dominated the game, fucked up 2 penalties, played some great football, final ball not always great. This is still not the finished article, we have only bought one defender under Pep, that will change in the summer. We are still the team to beat even and we are only going to get better.

Sane looked good, KDB bar the penalty was majestic,

Downsides Silva was brilliant but sometimes please just shoot, Sterling looked lightweight today against Coleman but has been brilliant this season so it's forgivable

Koeman is a very astute manager and knew he couldn't go toe to toe they rode their luck and got away with it

If you can't enjoy some of the stuff on show today, then football isn't really for you.

We don't have a divine right to win every game.

Having seen what I've seen at the Etihad and Maine Road, I'm just going to enjoy what's on show and thank my lucky stars.

If that's not good enough for some then, a long hard look at yourself is needed.

Played some absolutely fantastic football at times today. Maybe just lacking the killer touch in front of goal and came across a keeper who played the game of his life

If we'd have got an early goal we'd have ended up winning by 6, just one of them days. Dissapointed not to get the 3 points but can't be upset about the performance

I thought Koeman was supposed to be an innovator like Pep and a manager who sends his teams out to play football and entertain. Absolute bollocks. Timewasting, cynical fouls, 10 men behind the ball... dreadful to watch ... and some people say he'll end up at Barca !!

To be honest he probably watched us tear Bournemouth a new one on the counter and set up accordingly. They did defend well I'll give them that.

Scoring first is always key in any game and that pen in the first half would have completely changed the style of the game had we scored. I think we could have won by 3 had that gone in.

Very costly day penalty wise. Lots of nice football but at the end of the day it's 2 points lost.

Very neat approach play, but no end product - bloody well shoot some times.

The two penalties were atrocious, how much do these clowns get paid they should be able to score from ten yards with only the keeper to beat.
clowns? pens get missed by the worlds best,iz football

Yeah bit harsh to call them clowns.. but they were 2 very poor pens. My mate I sit with who used to be a keeper but is now 48 and has a dodgy back reckons he'd have saved both

Had that game finished 4-1 there wouldn't be a sane and sensible Toffee with one iota of grievance. The trouble is that we are susceptible to that kind of goal. How many teams have we seen over the last three or four seasons come to the Etihad with the sole ambition of finishing a game with a score identical to the one on the board when the game started. If they nick a goal, all the better!!

The two pens? Pep should have had the foresight to know that Serge should have been on the pitch to take the first one, and then Kevin could have stepped up to take the second!!

They were probably the easiest two penalties he'll ever save in his entire career. Perfect height and I can't believe Kun went for the same as KDB after seeing his attempt.
