CITY v Liverpool: Post Match Discussion

I think Nasri is wasted on the left but we don't really have many options for that area of the pitch.

Balotelli should have started or come on earlier. He's the type of player needed when the oppositions defence can't be broken down. He can score from outside the box a la everton.

I heard a Mich Richards song going around today did not catch all the words does anyone know what it was sound good. It was to the tune of marios song.

I think it goes something like ohhhh mich richard he our full back, a propper blue

I can see why he was on the bench, though. Mancini probably wanted to crowd the midfield after last season.

Nasri is having a difficult time adapting to the attack but he puts in a shift at the other end.

I think you are coming to the same conclusion some of us already have. We only have one winger, and that guy prefers to play on the wrong side because he likes cutting into the middle.

So to sum things up - we have zero wingers.

The closest thing we have to a winger is Richards.

not the best performance, but we'll take the point and move on.

Shame Silva can't use his right foot, we could have knicked it!

So basically, if we ever get to the Champions League final ( an away game ) you will want us to play for penalties. I.e. not lose. Sorry mate, losing mentality which inevitably will lead to well, losing. Fortune favours the brave. Seize the day etc etc etc.

To use your infallible logic: How did the go-for-the-win mentality work in Munich and Naples?

A CL final is classified as a neutral, but nice try.

Fortune favors the tactically sound, not the brave.

I've gone through this before but I'll try again. It's now 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw, a sending off for a professional file and tackles with feet raised. Most of the money in football now comes from TV. TV viewers want entertainment. The rules and refereeing will continue to favour the entertaining ( attacking ) teams because that's where the money is. It's p*ssing against the wind to go anywhere and play for a draw. Mancini, Ferguson, Wenger and Guardiola have spotted this and acted on it. Even Mourinho has changed tact this year and started to attack. The happy with a draw mentality is for losers and ultimately losing is what you will get.

If I was you I would definitely go for a career as a politician. You truly master the art of not answering the question.

Or not...

Let me give you another shot, this time I will make the question a wee more obvious:

To use your infallible logic: How did the go-for-the-win mentality work in Munich and Naples?

Deffo our toughest test so far. Last year when we finished level with Chelsea on points (2nd - 3rd) we lost 3-0 at Anfield. Today was a great result when put in perspective.
