City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

There's not many teams I enjoy beating more than the Scousers. What a whingy, niggly, cry baby, diving bunch of cûnts that club are. From fans to players alike, they're a bunch of big girl's blouses; softest cûnts in football and that's saying something. Time wasting at 0-1 and 1-1 and moaning like fuck when we were doing it at 2-1 - fuck off you half bred twats! We made you look good today. If we were on it we'd put 4 or 5 past them.

I thought Liverpool were excellent today and deserve an awful lot of respect for the way they approached the match. They pushed their entire back 4 just as high up as we did. Attacked with just as many numbers as we did. Give me a team like that every day of the week over some of the dross in this league that come and play for a point.

Jolean Lescott.....god every time he plays, im nervous as heck. He does alot of ball watching, even for their first goal. Jeez If it wasnt for Kompany, it would have been even more a closer match.

Has to be sold.".

Rubbish. Better than DiMichelis every single day of the week for the hurly burly of the PL. A proper defender.

I thought we were poor, lacklustre, can definately see the benefits of 2 up top as we lacked that dynamic forward momentum and free flowing play, also it really put Negredo through the mill.

Lescott was completely out of his depth, positives were Vinnie after 20 minutes once he realised you can't go through the back of Suarez, Zaba playing a full 90, Fernandinho being top draw again and Hart was good as well.

Off days for Yaya, Nasri and Silva and I think Yaya is struggling in a 2 against a mobile midfield, I'd love a DM like Lucas as he broke up our attacks well and they looked more solid than us at everything bar set pieces, I think we need a top quality one.

Still we won which is a relief, now onto Palace and I hope the players aren't too tired, win puts up top for the first time in god knows how long.

Missed it. Can someone give a short unbiased summary on the game. Don't want to watch that twat Hansen later

Merci

Let's see how much respect they show for us at their ground. Bearing in mind every visiting team automatically owes them enormous respect because of their history.
I can see why they deserve more respect than teams who "come and play for a point". If that's what their managers think is their best tactic, then so be it; no lack of respect there tbh

ok Liverpool gave us a game but this lot are fucking deluded.

I've not seen the game.In hindsight, would Milners energy have been a better starting option?

We earned the win even if Stirling was actually onside, we d have pulled it off too.

MOTM Hart

Offside had been given before Stirling got to Hart, who knew it and did not make a proper challenge; if he had needed to, Hart might have won the ball.

Pal that's an excellent point. But you have to admit the feeling after the game and on here has been very much one of 'phew, glad we managed that'
I honestly don't think the majority of city fans thought we deserved to get 3 points there tbh.
Glad we did of course, and let's avoid the Palace banana-skin

It was a tough game but I expected that. City did what they had to. When we went behind, we really upped it and went and got the goals. Then we were more conservative after the break. They had some very good chances and nearly as many shots on target as us but we had nearly twice as many shots as them in total. We also shaded possession and corners; pass accuracy was equal.

We shaded it and that was all that was required.

-- Thu Dec 26, 2013 9:35 pm --

That's the game I watched Billy.

If they take a top 4 place off them cunts I will be delighted!

As for the poster who would rather united beat them? I wouldn't want them cunts to win if they were playing the Talliban.
