City v Liverpool Post Match Thread

Fair result in the end. I thought we edged it on performance although tend to agree with JMW's comments and think we were nowhere near our fluid best, I suppose you must give pool some credit for that.

My only real concern is our defence looks more porous with every game...sort it out MP

Onwards and upwards blues !

I think you're being too hard on the lads TH, the dippers were always going to give us a game with them being the in-form team in the Prem.

We didn't have the usual swagger in our play but to dispatch a team that'll be in the top four in May at 60% is the thing of Champions.

Er, we are the in form team in the Premier League (top of the form table both before and after the game).

We'd have a job to play ourselves don't you think Mr Pedantic?.......you knew what I meant

Mr Picky to you.

Not good enough.

Not picking on you mate but it is funny - this season it feels like no matter what the score not matter who we beat someone finds something that's not good enough. We're a miserable bunch at times :)

I take your points though. About Lescott and about Yaya.

Being bankrolled by a billionaire can probably make you lose a sense of perspective I guess. Easy to forget where you came from.
Expectations are different these days. It's a debate we've had on here before when people say we should remember where we were 15 years ago.

Could have gone either way to be honest

We won hate getting beat by the dippers red or blue so happy bunny

Personally dont like to see Nasri and Silva together - find us a little light weight so either one with Milner

We miss Aguero no matter how good Negrado is and he is for me the best striker bought into the prem this season Aguero stilll give us something extra

Nut happy bunny and always good to hear winging whining scouse bastards

Felt we deserved a point today. So pleased we stood toe to toe with a team that's been a title challenger for so long, speaks volumes about our credentials for the top 4. Easy the two best teams in the league, certainly one of the matches of the season so far. Can't wait for the return leg

That Jimi was almost an excellent post. You can make a good argument for deserving a point, fair play for going toe to toe and I no longer doubt your credentials for a top 4 finish. Brenda has done a wonderful job.

If you could just run by me why you are the second best side in this League especially in relation to Arsenal when apart from Suarez and Sissoko not one of your players would even get a splinter in his arse from sitting on the Emirates bench; also noting that Arsene has probably forgotten more about building a great Football side than Brenda could ever possibly know !

Decent match and I definitely think you will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

I'll tell you what though your fans don't help your team - despite the numbers probably the quietest I've heard all season, I was really, really surprised

Great game to watch even though the heart got a work out.

I'm ignoring the negative crap on this thread - WE GOT THE THREE POINTS

Joe was back to his best and what a trooper Zaba is - took a risk in playing but he TOLD the manager he wanted to be on the pitch and he did a great job

Having lived in Liverpool for 30 years and been in the Kop more times than I want to remember, watching Liverpool spank little City, I can tell you that there is no loss of perspective, and no forgetting where we came from. When you were winning everything I was supporting a shit team.

Now the tables has turned (as happens in football) and you lot now show your true colours. Do me a favour, enjoy what was a great game, accept that you lost, and try not to be so bitter.

It's a bit silly this deserved nonsense

However I will stand by what I said earlier, the best performance by any team in the prem at the Etihad so far this season, I hope it was not your cup final though and you carry on throughout the rest of the season
