Ref is of the usual American standard, of course. Been wearing red tinted specs all night.
Offside for Salah goal, and ref finally decided he DID know what a penalty was for the last minute. Typical joke.
Anyway, Pep has to be well pleased by that run out by the lads. Mahrez getting the minutes in, Bernardo alread6 threading passes, Sané roasting defenders for fun, Garcia looking very nice indeed at the back, Bolton and Harrison showing their pace down the wings to decent effect (Bolton should have had a pen, and they were both being fouled to the point that they would have got Liverpool at least three or four yellows in a normal game). Foden and Zinchenko looked much better than on the weekend. And, even though Gomes played a few loose pballs and dived into a challenge on the edge of the box, he definitely looks like a year or two under sphis belt and he will be a serious player.
To think that was an EDS run out, for the most part, the future looks very bright indeed.

After Zinchenko and Mahrez came off we went to shit which is to be expected really. Pep clearly wasn't arsed about winning and why should he be?
The performance for the first hour or so was impressive. We effectively outplayed the equivalent of a top 10 Premier League side with an EDS team. Eric García and Zinchenko were very impressive, Bolton and Humphreys generally did well. Foden and Díaz haven't got going yet and Tosin just needs to move on- seen no improvement from him for three seasons now.
Salah was offside for his goal. Would've been very happy with the performance if not for Tosin's inexcusably stupid foul at the death but I'll settle for satisfied.
