Agree - I sit in that stand. It was deffo Kolarov giving a bit back to the crowd.
I was sat in the stand and didn't see one bit of venom in it, he just appeared to be trying to get the fans to be a little more vocal.

Obviously I'm not one to stir up trouble, but a Bosnian Blue I know who sits in 107 was pretty adamant that Kolarov was giving a well known Yugoslav insult to the fans. Not sure if it was aimed at anyone in particular, or the fans generally though.

He was going fucking mad, he seemed to be getting grief first half for giving the ball away and just launching it clear straight to their centre halves

-- Sat Apr 05, 2014 9:59 pm --

Can't put my finger on it, but for some reason that Lallana lad winds me up. He has something of the Rag mentality about him.

He is a Liverpool fan I think so probably trying to injure a few for next week

Maybe, I just thought we got it spot on and smashed them second half, we looked knocked in parts which is more worrying! Hope we start like we did against arsenal, against the dippers

I'm sure we will. Which I am now glad that Pellegrini got it right by not playing Aguero today. I can't stomach Dzeko leading the line anymore. And I hope Milner plays of Navas. The anfield game is going to have to be pure graft.

We need something else in midfield I think you are right

Dzeko is frustrating as he missed 2 sitters today, and Southampton scored immediately after the first miss that hit the bar

He wasn't happy when he came off at half time, really kicking off shout something

I doubt Kolorov has much love for our fans. He has had pelters for most of his time here. Remember the time he kicked off at the fans at the Norwich game last year. He must hear the constant moaning at him.

Think he will be off in the summer.

Some people on here have double standards. When Liverpool or Chelsea do this, it's the sign of champions. But when we do it, we're lucky, or it's worrying signs for the future or something.

My frustration with him is he can only play the way he's facing, he doesn't seem to be able to turn and change direction

Shame really as his crosses are fucking brilliant when he's on form

if mourinho had got the same result and performance against southampton , he would be a football genius , MP just got lucky.

i dont have a clue why we are attracting so much critism from our own fans.
I don't either, we have just beaten a very good, very well organised, footballing side, 4-1. It was also a very good warm up for next week at Liverpool.

If you can't be happy with today, you'll never be happy, Southampton were very good, one of the best sides we've played at home this season, yet we won 4-1 !

it may appear irrelevant to you , because you do not possess the intelligence to digest the comparison , the term "hammered" was mentioned and was dealt with by the bayern munich game , but your smug reply , which actually concludes nothing , appears to be your forte.

if a team is "dominated" , they have been out played , resulting in desperate defending , a very busy goalkeeper etc , your poor literacy is the problem , you seem to have plenty of time on your hands , perhaps you find a more suitable description in the oxford dictionary , and your concern is appreciated

Barcelona not a pressing side , absolute garbage , when Pep Guardiola managed Barca he gave them 15 seconds to retrieve the ball after losing possession this is enabled by "pressing" ,and they havent changed , this really sums up your lack of football knowledge ,but i wont worry about you , it would appear to be patronising

the irony of my reply ? when arrogance is instigated , it will be treated with the contempt it deserves , still smiling ?

From ear to ear yep.

I'm interested - how are you defining 'hammered'?

Domination doesn't have to result in desperate defending or a busy goalkeeper. It can also be about possession or stopping the opponent creating chances, or just simply being the better side for the majority of the game. For example the utd v bayern game ended 1-1 but bayern completely dominated despite utd's goalkeeper not being overly busy . When we beat utd 1-0 in the title season we totally dominated but utd weren't scrambling round in defensive chaos all the time.

So Barcelona are a shining example of a pressing side because they employed a 15 second strategy?

You talk some serious nonsense but just stop and think how pathetic that sounds. It takes seconds to score a goal, but Barcelona are ok to allow teams to have it for 15 seconds???

Give over.

bloody hell its brian clough !!!!!, "it only takes a second to score a goal" ,your stupid reply about barcelona is nonsensical , guardiola instructed his team to retrieve the ball in less than 15 seconds , it is called pressing , you dont have the graciousness to admit it , when you are completely wrong , you are boring the tits off me sunshine , if you want to continue your little keyboard war PM me , and i will deal with you , in due course , ive better things to do than reply to opinionated no nowts .[/

You stay bored.

I'll stay correct.

My assertion that you putting forward Barcelona as an exemplary 'pressing' side based on their '15 second rule' is utter bollocks is 'stupid and nonsensical'?

You don't realise they actually used the '6 second rule' not this mythical 15 second rule you've concocted to support one of your many silly points do you?

If you're going to debate something at least put forward an argument which is firstly factual and secondly actually makes sense.

Or you could take your ball home again mate?

A satisfactory performance and result even if it was slightly fortuitous.
