City v Spurs, Etihad Stadium, Friday 8th November, 7.30pm

Best thing about the game for me was the performance of Jill Roord - she quietly had a fantastic match, getting better and better with each passing week - her link up play is unlike most players in the WSL and that left foot finish was as good as you'll ever see.

Also love how Yui dealt with being pressed and fouled a lot - never shirked wanting the ball and worked very hard all game. She is one of the best in world football right now.

Really good experience at the Etihad tonight . Is it me or is it warmer than the Joie ? I'm usually in SS3 for the mens team so CB 126 was a novelty, watching for offsides We had more thrust and energy this evening , especially at the start and finish of the game and our subs kept us on the front foot . In previous games we've looked tired as the game progresses and haven't used the subs well . Good team effort and lovely to see Bunny get a hat trick ..happy days .
Agree with this. I was in 123 which was initially a little disorientating as my season ticket is third tier Colin Bell. As with the Joie it was close up football but you miss out on seeing the patterns of play.
We certainly came on to the pitch ready for that game and Bunny forced the error but , as you say, all the team played with drive and energy.
Good to see subs used nice and early esp as we have the game midweek.

Question; what is Fujino offering the team?

I just don't see her input or impact. Far enough she keeps it tidy, but is that worth a spot in the team??
She delivered as many passes to Spurs players than some of the Spurs players did. And that header? I could have wafted it in with an empty cup of Bovril.

At 62mins I’m thinking “If I see another fucking back pass to Keating from our halfway line or he’s made no subs after 70 mins I’m fuckin’ off home! And then we score another two. We have forwards as good as any in the league but why do we take all fucking day to get the ball to ‘em?

I was as far away from the goal as you could get last night and I thought it was Lauren Hemp's left foot. It was only when the Roord piccy came up on the screen did I realise. Thumpin' effort.

I was asking on the main Bluemoon chat about ticket sales. Someone said 9000 in mid week.

Hopefully bottom tiers will be full but is a weird one to have at the Etihad.
Spurs aren’t exactly a big deal. Weird choice.
There was a wee chunk of Spurs fans over the other side of the pitch from 122 continually, but in vain, singing 'Come on you Spurs'! At least fifty of 'em. A good twenty more'n Wigan used to bring to The Etihad for a men's game.

I’ve just watched Bunny's first goal on the BBC website.

Jonathan Pierce is the commentator; his first reaction?

"What an awful start for Spurs!"

Jayne Ludlow, the co comms was the director of the City Academy, the young one coming through now have all been in her remit. Far from bizarre and good to hear her.
I know who she is and I’m not referring to her on co commentary. I’m referring to all the waffle from the ‘guests’ during the game, about non football issues, such as Take That, and Gary Barlow. I assume you didn’t hear it. Not good to hear at all.
