City v Spurs, Etihad Stadium, Friday 8th November, 7.30pm

She delivered as many passes to Spurs players than some of the Spurs players did. And that header? I could have wafted it in with an empty cup of Bovril.

At 62mins I’m thinking “If I see another fucking back pass to Keating from our halfway line or he’s made no subs after 70 mins I’m fuckin’ off home! And then we score another two. We have forwards as good as any in the league but why do we take all fucking day to get the ball to ‘em?

I was as far away from the goal as you could get last night and I thought it was Lauren Hemp's left foot. It was only when the Roord piccy came up on the screen did I realise. Thumpin' effort.
I have the same opinion on Fujino. She’s keeping better players (IMO) out of the team.

Yes she’s not the required standard.

I also don’t think Fowler is.

Kelly needs to get back firing and in Taylor’s good books as when she’s on it she’s the best wide player (except Hemp of course) we have.

Agree, Kelly is a great player when she’s at it. I think Taylor doesn’t share my opinion though. Kelly has suffered with a loss of form and seems to be marginalised by Taylor.

Has she been the same player since her ACL injury?

I might be wrong but I think it might be an ego thing.

She’s a senior player, been at the club a while now.
She takes so many unnecessary risks with certain passes and shots and that means she loses possession a lot.

To keep doing that over and over takes a lot of confidence in it’s own right and I just think Taylor’s trying to wind that ego in.

She’s a got a lot of natural talent but if you’re doing your own thing and not sticking to the possession game plan there’s only one winner and that will be the manager.

Could be wrong but I think that’s where she’s at.

Not really sure, but we don’t see enough of her nowadays. Could be the management don’t think she has?
We don’t really know. All we can see is that she isn’t affecting games when she’s on the pitch and we’re guessing as to why.

It’s quite a long period of time now though.

Yeah, that could make sense. If it is right though, she’ll end up at Spurs or the rags in second rate sides being the big fish.

But if we have ambitions to win the WSL this season, we have to play those in form

I know that the best way for players to rediscover their form is to play them, but Taylor's priority is to win football matches.
