Something a little strange in the crowd today (from twitter)

Saw this bloke before the game, Beast on the back of his shirt. He was by himself, makes it a tad less funny and more like a mental case

Mental case?? in what way..

How come nagredo scissor kick is given as og yet rooney s clear deflection is a rooney goal double standards or what.

They are desperate for him to win the Golden Boot.

I don't think anyone should under estimate the effect of an early goal, it changes the game in many cases it blew a hole in Spuds game plan[/

Not sure that's correct. Obviously there is never a good time to concede, but better sooner than later.

I'm not talking 96th minute sucker punch from which there is no way back, but an early goal allows all the time in the world to respond.

It shouldn't even be a huge blow to your confidence. If the opposition play you off the park and finally score after 20,30 or 60 minutes it's quite natural for a team to cave in. "They're better than us today, we rode our luck, but it's just one of those days".

There are plenty of worse things than going one down in the first minute .

An early sending off, conceding after making your substitutions, conceding late in the game etc

It's already been discussed in another thread. The first deflection (off Kaboul?) took it away from goal (this is important). The second one (off Sandro) took it back towards goal, so it's OG. Had it been towards goal from Beast, then a deflection into goal from Kaboom, it would've been Negredo's.

Love the way Arsenal fans come on here telling us what is what, Top of the league in November and think they are world beaters, Wasn't so long away they were calling for Wenger's head and criticising players, Celebrating like they won the league last year for finishing fourth in the league like it's some sort of an achievement. Won't be long until they want Wenger out again.

Wonder who paid the Saints goalkeeper to give Arsenal their first. We thought Joe was a clown but that is the worst goalkeeping effort ever. All he had to do was concede a corner.
