City v Stoke Post Match Thread

I thought today was made for our second best defender, Joleon. He didnt play, and in my opinion we missed him. So as a 'HOLLISTIC' club did the manager or the 'football experts' pick the team?

Hughes felt Stoke were unfairly prevented from testing Hart more often and said: "There were a couple of occasions where I thought - call it professional or cynical - we had good opportunities that were stopped because of my players getting taken out.

"I thought there was a situation - about three or four - when Stoke City players were taken out quite cynically and (that) stopped good situations.

Glad we showed some steel.

Hughes is a massive ****, and he has a microscopic black hole at the back of his throat, You can by the way his mouth is slowly being sucked into it.

What about the massive, cavernous vacuum between his ears? People must have noticed this.

I always though this game was a potential banana skin. With the 2 massive games last week and 2 massive games coming up next week, there was always a danger that this game sandwiched in between could get ignored / overlooked a bit. So glad they managed to scrape the win. It would have made the league an uphill struggle after the other results today.

Dzeko miss was unbelievable. I've followed Vieira's 18's a bit and they have some decent talent. Based on dzeko's performances one of those deserves a chance. I'm sure nobody else would have missed that chance today.

On the other hand, although he's the last choice of our strikers, not long ago he was banging them in whenever he played. Surely it would be better to wish him back to form than wish him gone. While ever he's with us I hope he gets back to form and starts scoring again. I still think he's shit though

And Mark Hughes is a red twat. Who cares what he thinks

My overall analysis of the game today was that it was really cold. I think it would have been the ideal weather for my blanket but I forgot it so I was very very cold. I was almost savaged by two randy pigeons that were swooping high and low around the Etihad and it's really made me reluctant to attend another game. There was a high point at half time when that lad fell on his ass whilst trying to win prizes and I did cheer when Yaya scored.

Pigeons ruined my day though

Yaya was immense for The last 20 mins when Garcia came on and he oushed further forward. He needs releasing more often. Plus apart from his miss i dont think Dzeko ws that bad.Nasri my MoM.

This is the man who made a diving motion when Silva was hacked down from behind.

Yes and who let his player, well I use the description player advisedly, throw his water bottle at toward our manager. He'd have been jumping up and down if one of our players had done that toward him. Horrible manager, horrible team........................... mmmmmmmmmmmm might have said that earlier in the thread!! ;-)

My Mrs kept moaning about it being cold, the last time I took her to a game we were corporate and had heated seats no such luxury in 110!

I would say more shy and retiring

I was a little confused by Stoke's tactics after going behind. 20 minutes to save the game and they carry on defending.

We really won that match without breaking sweat and it was ideal for us to have one of our off days against such opposition.

It really was quite dull to watch. A few round us nearly gave themselves coronary attacks moaning at Dzeko. Still can't work out what went wrong with the tap in even after watching the GIF!

Very lucky today. A lack of pace and movement and not enough shooting.

Are you daft? Very lucky?

It was a hard fought win against a determined side, we played a few days ago against one of Europe's best and with only ten men for half the game. Three points in the bag
