Piss poor performance but we kept a clean sheet and won, in a cup final followed by a home tie last 8 in fa cup, happy days

Said it yesterday on the abortion of a thread that was the matchday.

Vast majority of those claiming how shit we are and how shit this player is etc etc etc have never been around to see a real shit City side with genuine shit players.

We won a difficult game a few days after a bad defeat against Barca and a week before a cup final at Wembley.

We have a home game in hand that if we win, we go top of the league.

We have a chance of picking up the first trophy of the season next week.

We have a chance of reaching the semi finals of the FA cup.

last but not least, we are still in with a long shot of beating Barca in the CL.

Some on here should have the internet taken away from them!

I so agree with you here blueinsa.

For me your post is a shining light amongst the dirge and darkness of the posts of doom.

Thank you.

i never want to see yaya wasted in a defencive midfield role again.

how long will it be before its realised by city`s management and coaching staff, that if we want to win the league, we have to play yaya further forward where he turns into the world beater we know he is.

also garcia was pretty good again in his cameo :)

In terms of performance that was about the biggest positive I took from the game. He looked the proactive player he did against Chelsea in the cup and not the passive player that I think he has been for most of his previous 18 months with us. Might actually save us a signing in the summer if he can continue like that until May.

Games after a CL game are always difficult we have just probably forgotten as we have not played one since December , and if you are unsure see the BBC website

Baca lose ground after shock defeat

Real Sociedad 3( Song 32′ (og) Griezmann 54′ Zurutuza 59′ ) Barcelona 1 Messi (36′)
Messi's goal was a bit special.

Not as special as 3 points :p

Really hope Poyet doesn't park the bus in the final hoping for a smash and grab goal- we really, really struggle breaking down teams with 10 men behind the ball.

Yes Sunderland will try to park the bus, but Wembley is a bigger pitch, so they might not have the usual luck when we play them at their ground, plus, this is where Navas will get a great chance to shine with more space to operate in.

We dominated the game from beginning to end and got the result. OK, Edin had a stinker, Negredo looked out of sorts and we failed to score a hatful of goals. But we look a lot better after our CL exertions than Barca. Once Kun is back leading the line we will be flying again. Roll on Wembley...

dzeko has got a lot of criticism , but at least he was making room and wanting the ball , negredo was totally anonymous , (shame about jovetics injury he has been looking good) , this was our 41st game of the season and we have won 30 , perhaps we should give the players a bit of leeway .
