City v Sunderland Post Match Discussion Thread

And just what has happened to Spanish Dave??? Yes, he's closely marked, but he has been since the start of the season. He just can't seem to find a decent pass any more. I have no idea what's gone wrong with him.

The team selected today should have been more than capable of beating Sunderland at home imo

By that argument, we should've won every game we've played this season because we have put out a superior starting XI to everyone we've played.

For the record, my biggest gripe is Clichy/Nasri away at Stoke, Kolarov/Milner at home against Sunderland. Oh and Balotelli's inclusion. He was shite and his attitude stinks. Telling Vinny to pretty much fuck off and pushing him away doesn't show desire. It shows he thinks he's bigger than the team.

If Dzeko is gone, who will the wingers that we buy aim for? Balo? He drops to floor after a touch from opposition ffs! Silva? Aguero? Tevez? All too short I'm afraid

ever heard of playing to feet???

Yes I have, and that's what's pizarro is for, plays the perfect pass to the feet of wingers/strikers. Silva used to do it but...

i remember when Silva was good

Our attackers scored 3 good goals today, our defenders leaked 3 soft ones..

yet its the attackers getting the flack.. me no understand.

Think people are just a bit frustrated after today pal

Then they should take the frustration out on those more deserving of it.. Its like blaming the victim for a crime.

I have no qualms with our strikers today. And although it was some shambolic defending, I thought Kolo was really not that bad. I think Richards was limited after the knock, Milner is no RB, and I question whether Kompany was up for a match just yet.

All in all, I really do not fault Mancini, either, aside from the choice not to start Pizzaro. I would have rather seen him on instead of de Jong and then bring on Nigel later on in the second half if Pizzaro is worn down. I think we would have had much better possession and more direct play in the first half had he been on.

Fair point actually. Had Micah and Komps been at the races we would have won at a canter.

so why does it matter that silva, aguero and tevez are too short? they are 3 of the most technically gifted players in the league

Before the game today, when you saw the line-up , did you think the team selected was capable of winning?

I doubt that Mancini told the players to be consistently dodgy and nervous at the back.

We're not moving the ball quick enough. He's having to come too deep to collect it. The forwards aren't making the kind of intelligents runs he needs. Full backs aren't getting forward fast enough. There's a litany of reasons why Silva isn't clicking.
