I'm sorry, but that kind of excuse just doesn't work.
Now, who's fault is it that the players didn't come in to this match the way they should have?

I said it before, I think Mancini is a decent tactician, but he is a poor man-manager. Very poor... and a lack of communication is what stands in way between us and the PL title this year.
Mancini tried to get them to attack and up the tempo. He and Platt were very animate on the touchline.

The players want to take 5 passes before getting the ball anywhere instead of taking risks with passes like Pizarro.

Quite frankly, besides Yaya, our midfield lacks quality passers that can get the ball forward quickly and speed up the tempo.

mancini is useless he didn't make a goal line clearance
Yep.

Mancini also made Milner not close down Sessegnon for the first goal.

Also, Mancini made Richards fall (or get fouled?) for Bendtner's free header.

Mancini also caused the lapse in concentration for their third goal.

You know sometimes you can blame the manager, but these were all really SHIT individual errors.

I dont get the calls on Tevez ahead of Balo or Dzeko.

Pardon me - but Tevez didnt do SHIT today, from what I was seeing...

What - because of that ONE pass to Nasri now Mancini should bow and kiss his ass??

Tevez is FAR from his top form, it's easy to spot when in duels with oposing players.

Can Mancini bring the best out of this City squad?

I am closing on the opinion that he can't.

Early CL exit, no FA-cup, no League-cup, no EL and possibly no PL title.

Found disrespectful when Redknapp earlier said anyone could win the title with Citys squad but I am thinking on how many other PL managers could reach second place in this league this year with City's squad and reach zero cup success. When are rivals Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea have a very bad season, Chelsea is old, players dictate to managers, Pool/Kenny/Carroll/Suarez/Downing horrible season for them apart from Carling Cup and Arsenal only still in the top4 because of a huge season from RVP. Their weak season helped us to look better than we really are.

Mancini had the chance to show a big improvement this year and beat only 1 close rival, the city rival who had also a lot of problems. Had to bring back Scholes, had a goalkeepr who let in a lot of stupid goals in first half of the year, Vidic/Fletcher out for season lot more injury than at us, going out against Basel in CL, they are weak this season. Their experience is huge they know how to win it but do't know when will all the things fall such a lucky way against for us as our rivals are shit.

And then when we could win it we play withoutwinning mentality, desire.

Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland, we should have won these 3 matches and we got 2 points out of it. All of matches we didnt push for about 45 minutes really hard to win only when we conceded a goal.
(Today we did it even later, 3-1 down and we had 15 minutes of nothing than two fast goals just too late.)

This is not a league winning mentality.

Our attackers scored 3 good goals today, our defenders leaked 3 soft ones..

yet its the attackers getting the flack.. me no understand.

Think people are just a bit frustrated after today pal

Then they should take the frustration out on those more deserving of it.. Its like blaming the victim for a crime.

Kompany had a big part to play in their last goal. The defense was poor. I did not see a reason to play de jong. He did not 'protect' the back four.

Attacking was very very slow. We spend most of our time moving the ball from left to right with about 6-7 passes. You did not need to do much to stop our 'attacks'. Pizzaro's great passing opened up the game a bit, he should of came on earlier. Need more players with his passing ability.

If a manager can´t get his team blazing for a shot at the title then he shouldn´t be there.

Mourinho in?

Anyone who has some tactical knowledge and can light a fire under the players arses.

Mancini's reaction to our second goal said it all, for me. Like a fucking petulant child.

And just what has happened to Spanish Dave??? Yes, he's closely marked, but he has been since the start of the season. He just can't seem to find a decent pass any more. I have no idea what's gone wrong with him.

We're not moving the ball quick enough. He's having to come too deep to collect it. The forwards aren't making the kind of intelligents runs he needs. Full backs aren't getting forward fast enough. There's a litany of reasons why Silva isn't clicking.

I think he looks knackered most matches now,had an oustanding first half of the season but has been distinctly average second half

so what this proves is we need a regista just as much a winger. night and fuckin day when pizzarro came on
Like I have said a thousand times on a thousand thread. Pizzaro is the key. Just a better smarter player.
Quite right my friend, should start every game from now on.Bit of guile, eye for the killer pass, good brain so doesn't have to charge around the pitch.Chuck him in and see what happens, and bear in mind he is the one player the opposition don't know much about.

I really liked Dzeko today. Balotelli and Kolarov have the heart of lions. Great goals. I liked to see them fighting over the free kick.

What set Dzeko off in the first half?
