IS IS TRUE ALL PUBS CLOSED AROUND STADIUM ON WEDS ????

i hope not, ive got a right session planned. can any answer this, are they closed??
I wouldnt be suprised, FFS.

Anyway, team:

....................Given....................
Richards....Boyata.....Kompany....Garrido

..................de Jong...................
........Zabaleta..........Barry..........
Bellamy............................Petrov
...................Tévez...................

Bench:

Taylor,

Sylvinho,

Robinho,
Weiss,

RSC? SWP? if they're fit...

Vidal/Tutte/Ben Mee?

Shooting free kicks: Garrido
Crossing free kicks: Petrov
Right corner: Petrov
Left corner: Bellamy/Petrov
Penaltys: Tévez
Captain: Given/de Jong.

If owen plays then we should tackle him, HARD.

Wind Rooney up.

Boyata MAY need some help from someone.

Garrido might need some help with Valencia's pace.

Everyone else just do what you've been doing...KEEPING CLEAN SHEETS, and maybe score the odd goal...We HAVE TO keep a clean sheet at home (and prefrebly at their place lol) if we even want to think about the final...I'd take 1-0 City right now...

i think it will be called off. villa v blackburn is off so ours will b too?

Re: City v United |Carling Cup | 6th Jan |Match Day thread

Definitely off. We will replay the game next Wednesday. My guess is that, in the unlikely event of it going ahead, the City-Blackburn league game on Monday will be a contest of reserves, which we should win comfortably. However, my gut tells me that it may also be frozen off as the temperatures are unlikely to rise any time soon...by the way, its 26degC here!

I think it will go ahead, Villa vs Blackburn had to be called off as the away fans would have struggles to get there...Good thing about us is all our home fans are local...If it were at OT it would be a different story...not sure how all the seikhs from London would have got there...lol

Sorry, not all our fans are local. Plenty of blues fly over regularly from Dublin, and if you read the various "match off" threads on Bluemoon you will see other fans who have round trips of hundreds of miles to get to COMS. I, like many other blues, am currently watching the news to see if the match is on and then to see if flights will go ahead.

If the flights go, and there is no match. Worse still flights are cancelled and the match goes ahead. Sitting at home in Ireland with my match ticket in my hand watching it on BBC, not happy.

There has now been going on 12 inchs of snow here since around 6pm last night and its still snowing. No cars on the roads, the schools are all shut everything has come to a complete standstill.

No doubt the club will have the pitch and stadium ready will the police allow a match like this to go ahead with the worst weather in living memory. My dad is 70 odd and has never seen it this bad !

Its not just the roads and getting fans there its the area around the stadium with a foot of snow over solid ice, its a major crowd safety issue getting 50,000 fans in and out of the stadium in these conditions which cleraly no one is used to dealing with.

Re: City v United |Carling Cup | 6th Jan |Match Day thread

Yeah I appreciate what youre saying, but even if no fans from outside of manchester make it, the stadium will still be relatively full is what im saying...lets see what happens, i hope it goes ahead...

Re: City v United |Carling Cup | 6th Jan |Match Day thread

It's off!!! Just on SSN now, re-arranged for 19th Jan.

Presume tickets will still be valid, have to re-arrange flights now - bollocks!!!

Re: City v United |Carling Cup | 6th Jan |Match Day thread

Not surprised at all very glad TBH, gives us time to get injuries back, new players in and the heat to die down on the scum for their shameful loss against Leeds. THis is definately a big advantage to us considering we only have one fully fit first team defender at the moment, we now have 2 weeks to bring in reinforcements and get them bedded in.
