Pass this on to any City fans you know who are pictured. They can get their pictures removed apparently.

The arrest and prosecution of football supporters is often a very different experience to those arrested for general criminal offences. For the supporter facing court proceedings today, a football banning order is very likely to be applied for by the prosecution if the supporter is convicted. No spectator of any other sport risks huge restrictions on their freedom of movement and travel overseas.
Our experience and expertise has led to consistently positive outcomes despite the all too often negative portrayal of football supporters in the media. Our aim is to provide a unique source of legal assistance, information and representation to all football supporters in England and Wales.

It is my belief that the police are allowed to take the easiest option. Sitting in an office for 2 months viewing cctv is a lot less stressful than meeting the public.
Like you I do not want to see a return of fences but they were there to stop violent attacks. I was at Luton when we relegated them. Their entire end came on the pitch to attack us. We did the sensible thing and fucked off rapid.
The pitch invasion for Villa was entirely different and a waste of scant resources. Deal with the important stuff not this.
They must have video evidence of these characters causing damage to property or threatening stewards, is my guess. I doubt they’ll go for those just going on the pitch but at the same time they’ll want everyone to think about doing that in future as a deterrent. The annoying thing about all this is it's been blown out of all proportion and portrayed as some form of mass, malicious disorder when it was anything but. Every title win at home there has been a pitch invasion bar one, that was last season against Everton as there was only 10,000 of us there. Out of 54,000 people they've picked out 21, the majority it appears for the heinous crimes of letting off smoke flares or breaking a crossbar. No idea what the others have done, one appears to be holding a scarf aloft and there's just a picture of others appearing to be doing nothing. It's a nonsense, should these people's pictures be plastered all over the tabloids and internet for this?
