you can buy the best players, you can hire the best manager, you can sweat the most blood sweat and tears but if the ref is a cheat you stand no chance.

platini and his "transparent" draw has worked, it nearly didn't, hence bringing in reinforcements tonight.

No, you can buy the best players and the best manager and play like absolute sh*t and occasionally get the bad decision *cough* Kevin Nolan *cough* West Ham *cough* in our case. Stop focusing on the bloody refs, life's 'woman, move on.

lol, not even subtle.

Hearing a lot of negatives about our actual performance tonight?

Bar the two absolute shit corner mistakes, I thought the tempo, the movement and creativity was much better than anything else I've seen so far this season, and that no one had a bad game. Worst player for me was Barry, but I'm no Barry hater, but too many off passes.

Agree with that, was great to see the quicker tempo

Ultimately I think we got what we deserved, you can't defend like we did for their goals (individuals not taking responsibility) and really expect to win against a very good side, but in what is Uefa's flagship competition, how do they as a major governing body watch that tonight and explain that refereeing display

I can't be bothered reading all the other posts. I've also never posted in a post-match thread before.
All I'm going to say, is whether or not someone thinks we were not good enough, we would have & should have won were it not for some shocking decisions. So that surely means we did enough. Yes we let in 2 poor soft goals, but we had one goal disallowed, and 2 penalty's not given. Therefore we did enough.
I can't remember a City match where I've felt more robbed. In the league you have a chance to turn it around, but not in these games. The ref has pretty much snuffed out all our chances.
I am not a happy bunny!

Hate to say it but, looking at that, the linesman (fucked if I'm calling him an ''assistant referee'') MAY have got it right. Kolarov look goalside (just) of the defender. How he could have seen it from the far side of the pitch is another matter though.

defender is irrelevant if he's behind the ball ...
Pretty sure Edin's pass went forward to AK.

Started off very very badly. Really good fight back. I wish we could always play at that tempo.

Two awful decisions have cost us a vital win.

Agreed.

Absolute bollocks.

We COMPLETELY bossed the game for the first 10 minutes.

Not disagreeing as such but COMPLETELY bossing a game needs to bring dividends and not just nice football.

Mancini is mad at the officials - he should be mad at the shite defence as well.

9 goals conceded in 4 games.......

this means he should be mad at himself, he is responsible for this defence. even more if is standards.

Shocking defending from Corners cost us, oh and the officials

The shocking defending would not have mattered had the game been reffed fairly.

We might also say that we'd have had a much better chance if we'd put in a quality performance in the first half ...... because Yayas goal aside , it was on the pityful side ....... we allowed Ajax to dictate play , and the two goals conceded were laughable.

Second half was a much improved effort on our part.
