City Vs Arsenal Pre Match Discussion Thread

People should really have figured out by now that Manicini likes to play with two strikers and two wingers, so no, Sinclair being in is not surprising as Nasri is not available.

Also, how can anyone actually think the Madrid game showed that Yaya should be played higher up? Of course he looked good there, he's good anywhere he plays. But that game CLEARLY showed that we need him just in front of the defenders so we can actually get the ball out and forward to the attackers.

Should be interesting battle between Yaya and Diaby today.

It sounds like most of you havent heard this before... but the word is R-O-T-A-T-I-O-N
Thought the idea was to R-O-T-A-T-E against weaker sides and in the League cup, not against strong sides like Arsenal.

Well, if you have been looking at Mancini's tactics over the past three years, he rotates against all opposition, unless its a very crucial match.

Tevez out, Sinclair in?? Seriously why?

Yaya clearly showed against Madrid that playing further up is his best position, what is the point in waitin until 70 mins to change it around, do it from the start!

It is a good team we have put out but not entirely happy.

Jenkinson is probably Arsenal's weak link when it comes to there defense. Add that to Mertesacker who isn't very fast and usually plays on a right centre back and Carzorla isn't exactly a defending winger, it makes Sinclair's selection a good decision. Plus i'd say it was Sinclair in for Nasri, not Tevez.

And I agree with your point about Yaya being a better attacking midfielder but when you have Dzeko in great form, Aguero fit and ready to play, Sinclair on the wing for the reason above and Silva (who hasn't been great so far this season but can produce something special in a second) it's hard to have Toure as an attacking midfielder. And he's a player that you would rather have on the pitch than on the bench surely?

Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Diaby, Arteta, Cazorla, Ramsey, Gervinho, Podolski.

So No Vermaelan as reported!

No AOC ot Walcott, no width.

Looks they are matching our system and going man for man.

Wish it was Tevez and Aguero playing out front..
no matter, hope Dzeko does well

btw, can someone provide a link to the radio commentary for this match? I can't find it at the mcfc.co.uk...
