City Vs Arsenal Pre match Discussion Thread

I wonder if Milner will start after his brilliant performance last night. Undoubtedly harsh on Nasri, but it would add some solidarity to our line-up:

Pantilimon
Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy
Yaya, Fernandinho, Milner
Silva
Aguero, Negredo

I would have Nasri in for Negredo. Play Silva behind Aguero, with Milner and Nasri wide. Let's get control of the game, then maybe we can be more attacking towards the end.

I do hope Clichy makes it, if not then I would have Milner on the left to help protect Kolarov, as I can see Walcott starting this game

We are at home, I would stick with what has given us great success in the past with both Aguero and Negredo up front.

Can't decide between Silva or Navas.

Although I think Pellegrini will play Clichy and Demichellis.

Although you should never break up a good partnership (ie Aguero / Negredo) I think some of our best football is played with an extra body in the middle, taking even more importance against an Arsenal side who like to maintain possession. Our success against Arsenal in the past 2-3 seasons has been playing with just the one up front.

I'd go with the front 5 as -

Aguero

Nasri Silva Navas

Ferdy Milner

Loads of movement, pace, skill and goals in that set up.
