Never mind the result. We're enjoying to play this beautiful game - and we will continue to do so. #echteliebe #ucl #mcfcbvb

Pure class. Despite that cock of a CEO who ran us down, they are a great club.
Why because they post on twitter.
Saw why at the game. On the pitch and in the stands

Where can I see distance covered stats?

Game in stats:
Company: 86 passes; 90%(the most) completed, 28 to Nastasic and 11 to Yaya .. NONE to Silva
Nastasic: 100 passes(the most), 19 to Company and 16 to Yaya, only 2 to Silva
Silva: had ONLY 44 passes ( 77% PC)and Yaya had 95 passes( 79% PC)
Dzeko received only 19 passes, none from Aguero though, who had 30 passes in total of which ONLY 43 % completed

OK, Got distance covered stats:
Dortmund: Subotic covered 10,114 metres(the lowest); all others covered more then 11,000 while Sven Bender covered 13,097
City: No one covered 11,000 or more ; Clichy covered 9,218 ( the lowest) followed by Aguero"s 9,800 m. Silva covered 10,8008 ( the highest)
Clichy didnt play for last 10 minutes though.
It isn't hard to figure out that Dortmund in total probably covered 15,000+ meters more

Just proves my point that they were physically much better team.

That's what I talked about earlier... In last few PL games non of our players covered 10 000 m in a game.

You can be as much technician as you want but on big level you have to run too.

That's the way they play naturally and we would have ( should have) known that and come up with a way to deal with the high pressing game. But it seems we didn't have a plan to deal with it! Key players for us (Nasri and Silva) couldnt get into the game and Yaya was involved far far too deep to do anything to hurt them.

Different game plan for the away game I think.

I will give Rodwell etc time, but we really missed de Jong's combative style tonight to stand up to them. Physically they were much stronger and seemed to have men all over us all night.

Happy with a point and not to be on the end of a five or six goal humiliation ( and that's not an exaggeration)

Re: Our home atmosphere tonight was pathetic.

if the players learn from tonight so should the fans, chanting a song for one or two minutes sounds far better than one line of bluemoon then faze out !

matched the team performance really, fazed out before we got to the half way line... Still a great game to see, Dortmund where very well organised, fans superb...

Why do we never press the ball? Be it in the prem or champs league we always let the opposition have time to advance through midfield and pick passes out.We are shocking without the ball, the main weakness being not tracking runners from midfield. We need to have more urgency in getting the ball back when we lose it.We have a major issue in midfield. We have a lot of good players but we don't have the right mix of players to complement the rest of the team.

Re: Our home atmosphere tonight was pathetic.

Dortman fans were awesome from start to end.

Great fans, great team, great style of football, great service to their fans (ticket prices, stadium setup), and as the above said dignity in what they may feel was an injustice of not taking 3pts back home with them. We could learn a lot from German football in ALL departments from academy level to the freedom fans are given... I don't think you'd have ShowSec parasites harassing you every time you stand up at Westfalenstadion. I don't like our health and safety mad, increasingly middle class (and up) leaning football culture.

thats why we lost, sorry DREW.

i tried..........i really did, but by 60 minutes it was just too much, the moaning, the silence..............

really wasted my time going to that game

now i know why it didnt sell out, people KNOW what they are gonna get!

....

Where was you located?

I sang all night, as did many others...The Away fans literally cut up those of us who want to chant (making it harder to make noise/get songs going)

We need a Dortmund style home end, Safe Standing where everyone who wants to sing can be located.

The blanket and flask brigade will not sing and will only moan.

in 109 tonight, the regulars were there and sang, but many tourists scattered around us far more engaged with taking videos/pictures all night....

We Need our own permanent end, behind the goal, Ultras Only.... Like Dortmund have... With Safe Standing

Bacck in from the game and having a beer
They were the best team ive seen us play in the last 5 yrs
They were always pressing ,gave us no space and were rapid on the break.
Saying that we looked pish poor in midfield
Mancini has made a big error hounding NDJ out of the club and replacing him with an Everton reserve who contributes nothing

Anyway still in with a shout but need 6pts from the Ajax games.
