City vs Burnley Post Match Thread

Considering the away matches we have and all the good teams away Chelsea have already played...we fucked up big time.
Yep we have to travel to S.Bridge, Anfield, Swamp, WHL, Goodison, Britannia. You'd think we'd have to win at least 4 of those including the Chelsea match. It's gonna be incredibly difficult, I think we'll just finish second which I'll be happy with tbh.

I think we should just concede, go on holiday and try again next year. Oh, and it is clear that the FA Cup has already been inscribed with "Chelsea" in advance of the actual competition even starting for real, so that will save us having to fly back for that, too.

Anyone know a good place for some winter sun? Abu Dhabi, maybe?!!!

Credit to Burnley .

Credit the manager more like, his team talk must have been inspiring for them to come out and boss us like they did. He had the balls to go two up top right from the beginning and give it a right go. That was a very impressive second half performance from them particularly trippier, shackell and two forwards. I wouldn't be surprised if they avoid the drop.

Would love to know if the players knew the Soton v Chelsea result before running out for the second half. Might have led to a bit of complacency knowing that they had dropped points.
Anyone on here in that dressing room at half-time!?

If anything it should have had the opposite effect but we just ran out of legs and sat back too much.

Expect some big efforts from those that were off the boil especially after half time on Thursday.

Am I the only one who thinks Hart should save the first even if there is a touch and even if there is an off side for me Hart cost us another two points today and cost us a sloppy goal against west brom

well done Burnley all the same

Credit where credit is due, not once did they park the bus and played an open game even when it looked we were going to run up a cricket score. I would much rather watch a game like that then sit and watch Stoke sit with 10 across the back then sneak a goal. Not the result we wanted but we didn't lose ground and hopefully we will get back on track on New Year's Day. Any team who comes to the Etihad and at least try's and sells out their allocation are more then welcome.
Next game please.

No you are not mate, I thought he made a feeble attempt to stop it.

Did he assume the officials would give an offside decision, if so he needs his arse kicking.

Good pots - echoes my sentiments.
