personally id prefer to see dzeko and negredo start up front, bring jovetic on as a sub later in the game. cant wait for tonight
I think it would be a smart move to go with Jovetic. Here's why...
Flexibility. It would be possible to start with both Jovetic and Negredo up front from the start, this allows Manuel to play the way he's been favoring recently. But the beauty of playing Jovetic is, if Chelsea start exploiting space, you can simply drop Jovetic into midfield to counter this.

I was thinking maybe we could play Dzeko/Jovetic upfront? Negredo is there if needed and I think Dzeko and Jovetic have the potential to form a good partnership.

Bit of a risk that as they are unproven together. Would say give it a crack if we were playing anything middle or lower table, but not the chavs.

Yea I probably agree that it should be Dzeko/Negredo because they have done very well during Sergio's previous injury. Only speculating on the potential Dzeko/Jovetic partnership, as I've seen glimpses of promise in the spurs game and I think they did well at Watford too but I didn't watch that game. I do remember them starting together during the preseason game against Milan, and we were awesome , like 5-0 in the first half lol.

I am sure I read in the papers at the weekend that Maureen had an accident with a shotgun.
A guy(Maureen) was hunting when a gust of wind blew, the gun fell over &
> discharged, shooting him in the genitals.
> Several hours later, lying in a hospital bed, he was approached by his
> doctor.
> “Well, Jose , I have some good news & some bad news. The good news is
> that you are going to be OK. The damage was local to your groin, there
> was very little internal damage, and we were able to remove all of the
> buckshot.”
> “What’s the bad news?” asked Maureen .
> “The bad news is that there was some pretty extensive buckshot damage
> done to your willy which left quite a few holes in it. I’m going to
> have to refer you to my sister.”
> “Well, I guess that isn’t too bad,” he replied. “Is your sister
> a plastic surgeon?”
> ” Not exactly.” answered the doctor. “She’s a flute player in the
> Boston Symphony Orchestra. She’s going to teach you where to put your
> fingers so you don’t piss in your eye.”

All the best.!!

I think what you're saying makes sense. I just wonder whether Jovetic has the match fitness to start a big game like this

Too big a risk in terms of Jovetic starting, whether he is fit or not, tonight is not the game to try him from the start - Dzeko and Negredo have played together, get Negredo deeper harrassing the Chelsea players and causing them issues - Jovetic adds flexibility to the side so bringing him on later is an asset, we can bring him on and push Negredo forward, bring him on and take Silva/Navas off, there are a lot of options but I think as Negredo and Dzeko have played together before they should start this one. Negredo will give Chelsea a torrid time and will allow Dzeko more space. Dzeko managed to score against Spurs and grew in confidence massively throughout the game - didn't have his shooting boots on to start with - think he will grow from that performance for this one, certainly would not drop him.

I think fitness wise he will be fine for 50-60 minutes, the main concern would be, what I call match sharpness. I can't describe how crucial i think it is to score the first goal against Chelsea.

Really can't wait for this game. It almost feels like the build up to a derby with all the shit Mourinho has been spewing in the press over the last few days.

I really hope we stuff them and send out a message to the world that City mean business this season

It's bigger than that.

I'm fucking stunned that it's only 2 o twat-faced clock. Today is dragging like fuck.
