Flexibility. It would be possible to start with both Jovetic and Negredo up front from the start, this allows Manuel to play the way he's been favoring recently. But the beauty of playing Jovetic is, if Chelsea start exploiting space, you can simply drop Jovetic into midfield to counter this.

I think what you're saying makes sense. I just wonder whether Jovetic has the match fitness to start a big game like this
I think fitness wise he will be fine for 50-60 minutes, the main concern would be, what I call match sharpness.
