City Vs QPR The Final Game Pre match Thread

For the first time all season I feel supremely confident.

We are at home, where we've dropped points in only one game all year. We are motivated to win the trophy. Everyone is healthy.

QPR are bottom half of the table and likely safe.

The odds could not be more in our favour. Maybe that's a bad thing, but compared to the derby and away at Newcastle, this situation feels much better.

Hopefully the players aren't this relaxed. We need 100% from everyone to secure this title, anything less puts 8 months of work in jeopardy.

From England v Poland in 1973 to Barca v Chelsea in 2012, I've seen plenty of games where a superior team that needs to win plays a team that only needs to draw, and the team that needs the win falls short.

Its rarely anything to do with how well they've prepared or their attitude. Its just that in these sort of games the team that only needs a draw has the advantage.

QPR start the game with a big advantage, almost worth a one goal start.

Hang on, scum are playing at Sunderland who have scored 26 and conceded 16 in 18 home games, we are at home to qpr who have conceded 38 and scored 17 in 18 away games, in what way has any fucker got an advantage over us? Of course we are not arrogant enough to assume we only have to turn up, but we score an average of 3 a game at home and let an average of 1 in every 2 games, we are playing the side with the worst away record in the league in terms of defeats and the second worst in terms of goals conceded - we start at a disadvantage to nobody

sorry to ramble

For fooks sake we will piss it,and thats not pre gloating we will piss it, i am taking the sausage rolls who will be bringing the egg butties.

QPR last 6 away games in the PL have all been lost, 5 scored, 17 conceded. Our players and management have proved that we have the skill, the tactics, the professional approach to make this happen - we had to win our last 6 games, we have played 5 of them (3 of which were difficult looking fixtures) and won them all, scoring 15 and conceding 1, we have the bit between the teeth, we have a team of winners on the pitch, we have world class subs, our best manager since Joe Mercer, yes we could fuck it up, but the odds are that we very much will not

So worried about this game, If we were in this position in Spain or Italy then I would be confident but this is the Premier League, a league where the bottom team could potentially beat the top team by a hefty scoreline on any given day.

We need an early goal and must be winning by half time to really cement some confidence in winning the title, going in drawing or losing at half time then I think we could bottle it typical City style.

I think they will play for a draw at first so if we can score first it should open them up which should suit us better

I am expecting what could be one of the most toughest games we have had all season at home, we cannot mess up now because we would look laughing stocks.

Come on City, Believe. Together!!

can't stand the main board at the moment its making me edgy. QPR will be dangerous and we need to score and win, they just need to stop us scoring. hopefully our lads will be focused and identified key danger men for the opposition.
