as a lone striker, Milner > Jovetic. as long as Kun & Dzeko still injured, Pelle should never play him as a top striker again.

Fantastic cup win........why does anyone expect us to cruise through these games? We have had enough upsets these last few seasons, let alone in previous incarnations.

I think Kolarov is a bit off the pace, at the moment. Remember he's just coming back from injury.
I thought SWFC defended well. They had very little to offer, apart from the goal nd a couple of breaks.
Fair play to them, they made it difficult, but to say they didn't deserve to lose, is just pandering to

Remember we started Silva in league cup and lost him for a few bit,this argument would have been valid had the lads had a decent break but theve had a busy schedule and deserve a break ,and secondly that's what you build squads for

Agreed. When we started with Silva in the Capital One Cup against Newcastle he & got injured people were posting on bluemoon in droves complaining saying "Why did we play Silva".

Our defence looked awful first half,which was kind of expected given the four have hardly,if ever...? played together.
Our left side is so exposed with Kolarov on the pitch,Mangala is subsequently left in the lurch and the opposition make the most of the gift horse.If we have to play kolarov then it should only be as a luxury left midfielder as his defensive game is none existant.

Silva and nasri were superb,they also lifted the team and provided an impetus.

Credit to Navas,he has a heart far bigger than his stature and well done Boyata,a steady performance.

I think we learned nothing today that we don't already know; Sagna, Kolarov, Boyata and Jovetic not good enough.

If Silva and Nasri hadn't come on today we wouldn't have won that game. Think it's really poor that Milner looked a better striker than Jovetic. I genuinely think we need to sign another striker.

Because if you don't rotate, the first 11 get worn down and injured, the backup players become miserable at not getting any gametime, then they are too out of match practice and miserable to play well when you need to play them when your starting players break down from being overplayed?
