In all seriousness... what the fuck is going on with player fitness right now? They're all succumbing to unusually high amounts of non contact injuries. Nastasic is injured too! I mean this could of course just all be bad luck but given how poor S&C is in football - i suspect it isn't. Sort it out medical and S&C staff!

Don,t think your medical team doing much wrong. these things happen.
The no. of injuries we have is quite low compared to other clubs - I've been looking at Physioroom's Injury Table throughout the season and invariably it's been Arsenal who have had the most injuries.

The unfortunate aspect forCity is that the injuries have been to key players and largely in one area: Central Defence all at the time when Hart was taken out of the team. As you say these things can happen from time to time.

I think most clubs medical team are fine. when a player gets injured they get injured . We had people out but that nothing to do with our medical team. just the way it is.

Surprised at how little comment on the officials this weekend. Clattenburg always scares me, but this weekend he's bringing Mr G Beswick with him to do the line. Now Mr Beswick is the linesman who looks a bit like Ed Miliband, with his shorts almost down to his ankles. But we know him better as the official who almost certainly cost us 3 points at Aston Villa with a succession of terrible decisions against us, including flagging for a bizarre foul throw as we were about to launch the last attack of the game.

This guy scares me even more than Clatts. Hope it's just paranoia on my part, but his performance at Villa smacked to me of more than just the usual incompetence. Interesting to see if we're talking about these guys long after the match has finished.
Fair point, Ballymagash. Give my regards to the Montenotte Mothers of Seven, by the way.

When I get back from my visit to the Little Sisters of the Poor Mouth!

Lets not get cocky people just 3 points and a good performance the score will look after itself.

We can get as cocky as we like, we're not playing.
The players and the club will not be taking any team lightly this season.
Contrary to popular belief.

Having stuck my neck out and said there was no way I could see us losing against Sunderland, I'm on my guard with this one. There is also that memory of perhaps the direst match we played at the Etihad last season, against this lot (excepting the Norwich home game). On the face of it, and seeing how we played against Spurs, we should stroll it with some to spare. But the defence is leaky — we saw that again this week — and Nastasic out, again, is bad news. FFS don't play Garcia Mr Pellegrini. Demichelis and Joleon in central defence should do the job, and this might be a chance to bring Rodwell in, or at least have him on as a sub. For me, the key is Nasri at present, especially with Silva absent. If he's on fire, he'll put those slide rule passes through Swansea's defence, and Negredo and Kun'll do the rest. Pants still in nets, for my money. He's looked sound, and Joe'll play his way back in, sooner or later. But not just yet.
