if we don't win this that's any chance of the title gone.

if we don't win this im afraid it has to be time for bye bye mr pellegrini.

he is out of his depth and theres no one who can say otherwise, he has no credentials to carry him and he is being found out, its a shame as I like him and he comes over well but it doesn't really matter if we like him, its results that matter. a sad state of affairs I agree but true.

also I noticed that joe had a reasonable game for England despite being behind an unfamiliar back four, so that's that argument dispelled. fact is that pellegrini's keeping coach is cocking him up, ok his form had dipped but it spiralled downwards since august.

we need to lose this manager before he causes some long term damage.

you know what?? if there were awards for being twat of the day youd win it twice..

Bearing in mind we had a few on here who wanted the previous manager out when we were champions and unbeaten at this stage of the season last year, it is not unreasonable that one or two might think that were we to lose today Pellegrini might be walking on thin ice.

I have said before that the next 6 games will tell us all we need to know about MP. It could go ether way.

I don't want him out, I want him to succeed but on the evidence presented thus far there is nothing to indicate this will happen so why persevere ? I am not one for hiring and firing at all but if a mistake has been made its better to take action early on rather than compound the damage

it appears we do

well, present a compelling counter argument, i'm listening.
How about:
1) We're in the last 16 of the CL for the first time so he's already achieved a key objective.
2) We're a game away from another cup semi-final.
3) We've had a bad run of injuries to key players.
4) While we'd all like to win the league again we only need to finish in the top 3 to reach the CL again.
5) While our away results leave a lot to be desired, we aren't actually playing badly.
6) Unless you're adrift at the bottom or owned by the Venkys, you don't sack a new manager after 12 games.
7) After 12 games last season we were top by a point but came second by 11 points. So if we can drop 12 points comparatively, we can also pick them up in the next 26 games.

Great response. Sounds compelling to me

Very compelling PB. If you don't mind I would also like to add one further point.

8) We are Manchester City and we never give in.

Please feel free to delete that PB if you don't agree with me. Thank you for your 'reminder' to people.

I am not buying number 5

You can play as well as you like but if you get no points it means nothing
Who would rather play badly and win?
