It depends on which team and front line pellegrini plays,but not wanting to be negative but after west ham's hammering today,can they play any worse think the game could be a frustrating one for us and end up like palace hundreds of chances and only sticking one away,hope im wrong and we do hammer them 4 or 5....

I think our squad and management are too experienced to take that attitude. However, we absolutely took apart WHUFC apart at Upton Park in the league (OK Kun was fit and brilliant that day) but we are so superior to them in every single department and have taken apart much much better sides at home this season. I know they'll set up like Palarse did against us but if we are on our game and crucially get an early(ish) goal then we should be able to stick at least 3 past them...

West Ham fielded a heavily weakened team today (I felt so sorry for their fans that travelled) but this is a Semi Final and they're two matches away from Wembley in a trophy they can win. If they're not up to knock City off their perch then we'll destroy them - but I think it could be frustrating if they defend well.

Going 2-0 City if they field a strong team. Cricket score if they don't.

Whether they play a strong team or not, expect them to play 10 at the back and to do everything they possibly can to take this back to their place with something acceptable. Big Sam is Big Sam and he will first and foremost want to keep them in the Premier League so this week I can only see him again playing a weakened side because they have Cardiff away next Saturday which is a massive game for them. Going off the way they played today, we could easily get 5-6-7 in this game, I can only see tiredness being a factor that really keeps the score down.

They did and I watched the game, what does not make sense is they were hell bent on playing a weakened team to save players for semi I would have rested Jarvis and Morrison too, Jarvis has been playing well and Morrison has just come back after hamstring strain(been out 2/3 weeks) and he will now play 2 games in 4 days. Whatever team they put out this is a semi one step from Wembley not a 3rd round cup game.

I'm sure West Ham's finances would prefer Premiership survival over a League Cup win. They could achieve both or neither!
