Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Is it too late for my entry? Can't remember the deadline, think it was friday teatime. Not had my tea yet so here it is.
Some of you will scoff possibly, as most of this is pretty mainstream, but I like it and that's what matters innit.
Was harder than I thought.
1/ The clash- white riot.
2/ Queen- seven seas of rhye.
3/ Def leppard- rocks off.
4/ AC/DC- whole lotta rosie.
5/ Nirvana- rape me.

6/ Iggy pop- lust for life.
7/ Supertramp- take the long way home.
8/ Pixies- wave of mutilation.
9/ Ramones- blitzkrieg bop.
10/ Scorpions- wind of change.
Fine choices all, i'm sure you'll agree ;-)

Find it impossible to be objective about music, I wasn’t a music lecturer or similar (common or garden roadie back in the day). Either knew the tracks mentioned or found and listened to them. I would give everybody 8.5/10. Well done, really enjoyed this thread.

I'm not a massive rock fan as such, but I do like and appreciate some bands of the genre. I know i'll like some stuff on this thread, but there's a hell of a lot to get through if its mostly unfamiliar. Plus you have to be in the mood to listen to new stuff, as there's loads of great music that will always be with you.
I will get round to it all eventually I hope

Totally agree, that’s why this thread is good. Gives food for thought and a chance to listen to stuff you might not be familiar with. Some you’ll like, some you won’t.

Ok, so here are the results of our 'the perfect classic rock album of all time'.
Sorry @crublue1 mate, the deadline of Friday was for scoring the albums. It does look a good list though :-)

So we had 14 submissions and the breadth of music was really astounding, from metal to swamp rock to prog. From Glitter to Bruce S to Folk rock. It is clear that the term 'Classic Rock' means what it means to the individual and we all have very different interpretations.

Of those that made submissions, five took the time to listen to everything submitted and give their scores on the board.
Thanks to @OB1 @RobMCFC @mancity2012_eamo and @blueparrot a great effort. I know myself how long it took to listen to all the playlists. I must admit to skipping stuff I knew and concentrating on material that was new to me but it was a really good exercise. So based on average score received (and we didn't score ourselves!) here are the results:

1. @OB1 8.00
2. @BlueHammer85 7.80
3. @Saddleworth2 7.75
4.= @roypaulknewmyfather @ted the grass 7.70
6.= @MCFCTrick @Onholiday(somemightsay) 7.60
8. @RobMCFC 7.50
9. @mancity2012_eamo 7.25
10. @xmusampa 7.20
11. @Mancitydoogle 7.00
12. @bennyboy 6.90
13. @blueparrot 6.625
14. @Protein Junkie 6.60

From that you can see how close it was and extra points here and there made a massive difference. So well done to @OB1 who wins our best classic rock album.

Well played OB1.
I want VAR please - does that mean I’m relegated to the match day thread ?

I have already consulted the pitch side monitor mate. Result stands. ;-)
I have an idea that there will be more of these sometime in the future. I'm sure one of us suggested live albums as a good topic. All good fun and I personally enjoyed listening to the newer stuff.
